Many days have come and gone
still we're here without you
and it just feels so wrong.
it's like we're living in 2 worlds
here on earth, alone
and with you in heaven, that's home.
but we don't know how to get there just yet
because i guess our time's not through
just know that when we can
we'll find our way to you.
and tho we cried and couldn't understand
when the angels came for you
we soon found peace in god's promised plan
for the heaven he had in store for you.
see, god couldn't wait to take you home
to show you everything
you'd never known.
to watch you run
on streets of gold
to see you marvel
at things untold.
to watch you
sing, and laugh, and play
yes, god chose that special day.
and when OUR time is finished
and through;
just watch--
we'll be smiling as god brings us home,
To You.....

I am a Mom and believe it would be great! Maybe make it a collage and add other photos as well. However, this depends on how your Mom is handling losing her son; we're all different and if you guys are able to refer to him and not filter your conversations due to the loss, then, yes, it should be fine. If not, well, go with your gut instinct and say a prayer before you go to sleep and you'll know in the morning. There are bereavment groups that can help. My daughter and I went through a 10 week session after we lost my Mom unexpectedly. It did wonders!

My Grandma and I couldn't talk for months and when we finally did, we agreed it was okay to cry as long as we laughed as well. Please accept my sympathies and just try and remember what he would have wanted for each of you. He's with you always-but you already know that, don't you?

Just go for it and I think she'll start crying, so I'm warning you, but they will be tears of touching her heart so lovingly, as well as other reasons. Just make sure the tissues are close by!

Depends on how your mom is coping with his death. Mourning a lost loved one can take two years or more. I think it is a lovely idea if she is ready for something like that. I love the poem but it would have to be a large fram to fit it all in. If she isn't coping well and unable to talk about him maybe this would be a better gift for your brothers birthday or the anniversary of his death. I am so sorry you too are going through this loss. I wish I could be there to comfort you both. It is a great idea if she is ready.

i think that your mom would think that is a very special gift and it comes from the heart that is a good way to celebrate him (not forget him)
