My mom tends to be a home body most of the time. She complains about everything you get her and if you dont get her anything she is still going to complain about that so im all out of ideas. Everything i get her she complains about and if i dont get anything she complains that i didnt. So im in a lose lose situation,. Any one have any ideas as to what to get for that type of person or would it even matter?

It sounds like it's not going to matter. Just get her what you want. If she is a home body get her some loungewear.

I do hope I can be of help to you. When our moms get a little older they tend to become a bit more set in their ways,
and in some cases may complain just for the attention. So my suggestion is:
(a) Above all, be patient. Remember mom won't always be here for us.
(b) Get her something that is ALL about her. Such as a gift certificate to a Day spa. Perhaps even surprising her and taking her there. If the services appeal to you, maybe you can even go with her. Sort of a re-kindling of your relationship with mom.
(c) and lastly, perhaps making it a special day for her and one of her best girlfriends.

Your mom sounds a bit like mine. I got her the Day spa package...and guess what? She loved it. Make her feel like a princess. Sometimes mom's tend to feel overlooked.

Good luck to you, and have a wonderful holiday season with your family!

I agree with the day spa idea, my cousins did this one year for my Aunt. She was a stay at home mom for years, went to work after the kids graduated from high school and now works part time and babysits a few days a week. She's Supermom and would NEVER think of taking a day for herself to rest and relax. She was so thrilled with her day at the spa that she framed a copy of the gift certificate.

That sounds precisely like my father. I often get him some thing functional like a dvd's or outfits. yet this 365 days i desperate to pass sentimental, that's a shadowbox from the keep issues Remembered, and it has words like "concept", "potential", and "braveness" interior, a place for a image of two human beings, and an engravable plate. i think of that is complicated for dads like ours to tutor their affection and that i think of that this may well be some thing to strengthen that bond.

Netflix subscription?
Gift card to a local bookstore?
Does she like to garden? Gardening tools?
How about something that might make her chores easier to do around the house?
