I've been searching around for a particular toy my little boy wants for Christmas and everywhere has been sold out. Yesterday I did long Google search, and found a little company in Scotland that stocks it.
So I e-mailed asking whether they had one, and they replied saying "yes, give us your address and we'll set one aside". They don't have credit card facilities on the site, so I promised to send off a cheque today.
So I was a bit staggered to answer the door to the postman this morning to find that not only had they sent the toy (by first class, next day delivery) but they'd included a few little extra treats "for his stocking too" - before I'd even sent off the cheque.
How amazing is that? I e-mailed to say "wow" and they replied "sometimes you just have to take things on trust". The toy is only £10, but I've sent £40 to cover postage and to have a few Christmas drinks on me.
Chuffed to bits I am. Renews my faith in human nature a bit.
