I'm planning to give presents to many friends this holiday season. I don't want to go out and buy lots and lots of gifts. Are there any inexpensive fun gift ideas that anyone would like to share? Thanks.

I dont get what Christmas is for? I dont understand its importance. Also, what is the importance of lighting up your house and your lawn and having a tree.

I want to buy books for my cousins for christmas, but I don't have very many ideas. They already have all the Harry Potter/Aragon books and I think they are still to young for the Lord of the Rings. I need books for the following

2 Kindergarten Boys
1 Pre-K Boy
1 3rd Grade Boy
1 4th Grade Girl

Christmas is not in anyway related to Christ yet it is celebrated falsely as Jesus' birth. It is rooted in paganism. Even the 'mas' part in Christmas is comprises of prayers for forgiveness for the dead, does Christ need our forgiveness? The bible tells us to stay away from all false gods and not even to mention their names yet Christians try to celebrate Jesus birthday (a lie) with pagan worship, is it just me or is something wrong with that. Or is it that we cannot give up everything for Christ, including our traditions?

Gum? Candy canes? Lip gloss? Nailpolish?

.... What should I buy them, and how should I wrap the presents?

I don't have much money, so I can't afford expensive gifts.

My husband, son and I have lived in our neighborhood for 7 years, and my son is now 13. We have a close group of neighbors that get together quite often, of which we are a part of. Most of us are young couples with children - but my son is the oldest of the group. My question is this - one neighbor couple are grandparents and have no children at home. They have always hand delivered a doll or toy to the younger children in this group (ranges for the kids are 1 month to 11 years old - minus my 14 year old). I've always given them a gift of some sort and left it on their doorstep. My son was never (I mean, even when he was 7) part of the gift delivery from them. Am I being petty? I think now it is okay that he doesn't get one, now that he is older. But it sometimes hurt his feelings to see them skip our house and deliver to the others when he was young. It bothered me and still does. Am I being petty?

My parents just found out that my uncle (dad's brother) stole all of our Christmas ornaments. They were sentimental, and we don't have the money to buy any new ones. We just got a tree, but don't have anything to decorate it with. What should we do?

is it really that bad if people want to say happy holidays instead? i understand that you're doing your religious thing on that day, but so are other people of other faiths. faiths which deserve as much recognition as your holiday. christians, we all know that christmas is rooted in pagan origins, so accept that and then celebrate what christmas means to you. pagans, we all know they absorbed the holiday and a lot of bad things happened in history, so accept it and celebrate it as you already do. everybody quit playing the blame game and things would go a lot more smoothly. everybody needs the holiday lovins.
