you could make him a fleece blanket. i made one for my brother and he LOVES it. you go to the crafts or fabrics store and buy 2 or 3 yards of two different fleeces that you like. (my brother has leopard print and black) and then you cut 3 inch long slits every inch in the edge and go all the way around each piece of fleece (you can lay them on top of each other while you do this so it saves time and you can be sure that the pieces are even on each side) and don't worry if they aren't perfect b/c there will be so many he won't look at them!! then tie the blanket together going around in a circle and...ta da!! instant blanket that's fun, easy to make and CHEAP!!

Unique Hot Cocoa- get different blend recipes off the internet. Put in a mason jar and decorate with a peppermint stick tied to the lid. Cookie Mix in a jar- layer dry ingredients to a cookie recipe into a mason jar. Looks so cute. Use a recipe that has a variety of textured ingredients to get some variation in height and color in the jar (walnuts, chocolate chips, etc). Tie the directions (with instructions to add the wet ingredients) to the lid. Merry CHRISTmas!!

If your classmate is a friend then maybe you need to talk to them and find out what they like. Making writing paper or bookmarks are usually quite useful but for a 19 year old it might be better to make (if you have the time material and skills) something like a CD case for him to store his CDs or DVDs in.

You must find out something about him in
general and then think of an idea. Talk to his
fiends or family and ask them his likes and things.
