No - I like Christmas....dress up your girlfriend in a Mrs. Klaus outfit and take care of business. Other than that, Christmas sucks.

I can't be considered a "kid" anymore. However I am very fed up with the commercialization of Christmas. I am probably going to bust a few bubbles but for those of you who want to do some research either google or search the background of Christmas. It was originally began by the Roman Catholic Church to go against a pagan holiday near Christmas the Winter Solstice. And the idea of Saint Nicholas came from a person who did it before the Catholics "converted" him to Christianity. So basically we don't know when Christ was born but they just decided this day because of the closeness of the solstice which is near the last day of Hanukkah, a Jewish holiday near when people had to do their taxes i think.
Enjoy.
And I do get presents I am not a Scrooge The meaning of the season should be love between neighbors and if one wants to celebrate the Lord's birth celebrate it all year long!

No. Commercialization is the best part of christmas. Because of commercialization, you get to put smiles upon tons of people faces, and feel great inside. Because of commercialization, tons of people buy food for the needy and volunteer at homeless shelters. Because of commercialization, tons of people get both temporary and permanent jobs. Because of commercialism, the nation's economy is at it's highest. Commercialism makes the world go around.
Christmas, thy meaning is Commercialism.
Happy Holidays. :-)

If you don't agree with the commercialization of Christmas, then don't participate.
Everyone complains about Christmas being too Commercial, but then everyone gets caught up in the spending frenzy anyway.
Just say no!

If it bothers you so much, then get up and actually do something about it rather than just vocalizing your vents and expecting the problem to fix itself. If you truly hate the commercialism, don't buy into it at all. If you give into it every year, you don't have any room to talk. No, you won't be able to eliminate it for everyone, but it can likely make your own holiday better rather than stressful.

It would be nice if they said happy holidays instead of Merry Christmas on most commercials, not everyone is Christian.

Happy Holidays??? Please. Christmas is all about the birth of Christ weather you like it or not, yes I agree that he wasn't born Dec. 24th but we just decide to celebrate the birth of our savior and if you are not a Christian then just don't celebrate! it's like saying "oh don't say Hanukkah, we're not all Jewish" sorry but you cannot change the meaning of Christmas.
Christmas is not all about buying gifts for spoiled kids or for material cold hearted people, the three wise men came and brought gifts for Jesus and that's why we give gifts on Christmas.

I do not observe Christmas or any of the pagan holidays.
Most people think they are keeping it to remember the birth of Christ.
They error in that sadly, they do not know what the bible REALLY teaches.
The scary part is most of these people claim to be Christians and they do not as they as instructed to 'search the scriptures to know if these things be true'
The few that do know the truth, say it does not matter. Again, they err in not knowing what God says concerning these things,

it is getting worse every year, but we as parents need to keep focused. our kids are going to learn what we live... if we live to keep up with the commercialization, that is what they will see and do... but if we keep Christ in Christmas... as the center, and teach our kids what it really means... there will always be Hope.
