I just heard that Wal*Mart has learned it's lesson...they are going to dump the word "Holiday" and replace it with "CHRISTMAS" on all their Christmas items! About time! CHRISTMAS is all about CHRIST, so why shouldn't we say CHRISTMAS? What are your opinions?

I have heard different things. When everyone comes to a party or gathering and brings a gift (certain price range) and all presents go collectively into a 'pot' or under the Christmas tree....what is this called? What are the different types? Do you draw numbers and pick randomly?

What is this called? Chinese Christmas? White Elephant Christmas? etc....

What are some other fun ideas for a Christmas party?

I have no clue what I want for Christmas. But I do want to do some stocking stuffers for less fortunate people I do that every year if I can remember.

Our office traditionally does little activities at work during the days leading up to our Christmas party. In the past, they've done secret santas, had days to bring in items to give out to charity, had desk decorating competitions etc. Any innovative and creative ideas of other activities we could do?

Do you have macaroni and cheese? Mashed potatoes? Broccoli casserole? Green bean casserole? Yams/sweet potatoes?

What do you have to snack on and/or for dessert?

I despise Walmart -- for my own very valid, personal reasons which I won't bore you with -- so I don't shop there. That's fine with me, I'm perfectly happy to spend my hard earned dollars at other, different stores.

But I gotta be honest. I was overjoyed this morning to read that Walmart greeters will once again be allowed to say "Merry Christmas!" to shoppers, rather than the generic "Happy Holidays" that we've all grown used to.

I won't be on hand to actually hear the greeters say it, but I'm hoping that other merchants will feel free to follow suit. Don't you?

They are my Aunt and Uncle. I find it so hard to think of good gifts for them because they can buy anything they want. Plus, they are a bit picky and hard to please. PLEASE HELP ME! Any gift ideas will do.
