you can sign up for the Toys for Tots program - you can check w/ your local public assistance office they can often lead you in the right direction of organizations that offer help, your local church (whether or not you go there)

the toys for tots can be found online @ www.toysfortots.com - you can sign up online - you need to get it done early though or you might not get on their waiting list

The Salvation Army is one of your better options. If you're affiliated with a local church, that's another place you might want to try.

Also, in a lot of cities and town, local radio stations will run holiday appeals for specific gifts (Little Timmy wants a GameBoy, the DJ announces it on the air and a few minutes later an anonymous benefactor calls in to say that THEY will buy the GameBoy and deliver it to the station for Timmy). More often than not, these appeals are wildly successful as people tend to be generous around the holidays, and especially when there's a SPECIFIC request rather than a general one (please send money so we can buy gifts vs please buy THIS GIFT).

Look around...if you can't find help, email me and I'll be happy to help you search.

Peace

the salvation army usually has a great program...i think they even provide food for a holiday meal....but i think there is a limit to people who can sign up...so check into it right away
also you might tell friends/family that instead of getting YOU any gifts to buy for the kids instead
...also get creative...maybe you can make some gifts (for example make litte coupons/certificates...like "you can stay up 1 hour past bedtime" or "you don't have to do any chores all day")

Christmas Cheer.
You can't go there yourself, you have to have someone call in for you, so go to your Local Church, and ask them to sign you up for a Christmas Hamper.
