I have no clue what I want for Christmas. But I do want to do some stocking stuffers for less fortunate people I do that every year if I can remember.

Kudos to you; You're thinking about the less fortunate, on an on-going basis! That's really what it's all about.

What I want? :To say, "Merry Christmas" if I want to, and not hear, "Happy Holidays" instead.
To buy a "Christmas Tree", not a "Holiday Tree."
To display my "Creche" and not 'break the law' for doing so.
To allow school children to say, "Under God" when they recite "The Pledge of Allegiance."
To allow "The Ten Commandments" back on Federal property.
To make the public burning of our Flag a federal offense.

Bottom line, I want "Christ" put back into Christmas, and into the lives of those of us who want and need Him.

I'd like to give religious freedom and tolerance to all Faiths; but not at the exclusion of any in our "Constitution" and "The Bill of Rights."
Merry Christmas!

Try Oxfam - you can buy gifts for third world countries. I was given a goat last Christmas. I like the idea. If you have mixed feelings about someone you can buy them a toilet!!!

I think Christmas is about love and peace, and I feel increasingly uncomfortable with the commercialisatiion of Christmas. Some people get into terrible debt, and suffer anxiety about what gifts to buy. Most people in the West have everything they need in the way of material possessions.

It is a lovely idea to exchange gifts but not if it causes offence, disappointment or bankrupsy!!

It feels as if we are all stuck in a loop - we have to keep spending all that money on gifts many of us don't want.

This year I will buy gifts for the children in my family, send cards with a donation to charity to keep in touch with freinds and acquaintances. I like the feeling of Christmas cheer in the few days around Christmas and I will cook a god lunchfor my family.

I guessfor less fortunate people, gifts of food are always acceptable and I applaud anyone who does that, because it is the spirit of Christmas.

I usually donate some gifts to the poor, just a couple of remote control cars and batteries, I'm sure some kid will dig them somewhere. Nothing wrong with giving a little back.

I encourage you all to do it too.

Maybe participate in Toys For Tots or something like that.

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth! Ha! Kidding.
All I would really like to have is to have the family get together at my house so my dad could be involved. He's 79 and not in the best of health and can't ride in the car for long periods of time.
My sister-in-law has taken it upon herself to move the get together to her youngest daughter's house, 30 miles away, and dad's already told her he can't go because he can't ride that far. His back, knees and hips stiffen up and he can't hardly get out of the car when he gets where he needs to be and it's only been a 10 minute ride across town and now she's wanting him to ride for half an hour and he can't do it, so he'll be left out if I can't convince them to have it at my house again.
She's doing it just to pizz me off! lol She's allergic to smoke and there's five of us that smoke at the get together, but even in my own dam house when they're here, I make us all go outside to smoke, except for dad. So I thought I was being nice about it. Last Christmas was the last one that my mom was with us, and I think dad's on his last legs, so I'd like to have it here for him. But I think that she's gonna stop that from happening. :(
Wish me luck so that I can throw my fits and get my way. Thanks.

I'm going to give cookies.
I am going to work my butt of making portraits of my grandparents, my mother doesn't have any pictures of her dad and it will be a huge surprise.
smartycat, I agree with you 100% and I want this Christmas for people to know what it truly is about.

I just wish I had enough money to spread my joy to everyone I meet. Until then I just try to be thoughtful in my gift-giving.
