Yep! If you really think about it what are you doing exchanging gifts for ? How does that have anything to do with the birth of Jesus? It is really out of hand. Its one great marketing tool for the churches and retail alike. Why should there only be one day that people treat each other with love and kindness? Peace and love be with you.

I'm an atheist and so is my wife. We usually exchange gifts and enjoy family time together (I mean, we're off work), but it's more of an annual renewal. For us it has no religious significance.
