absolutely.. any holiday or gathering that is geared around color is racism..I think we should all celebrate as humans and equal and not of a color or nation or sex.

I don't think it is. As long as a holiday means something to those who celebrate or observe it, then it is important. Sure, Kwanzaa is a fairly new holiday, so it has not quite established itself the way other holidays like Christmas, Eid, Yom Kippur or the 4th of July have, but these things take time. Another new holiday is Yom Hashoah, or Holocaust Remembrance Day. Do you feel the same way about this day?

Sure it is. But people want to feel that they belong to something. Spend decades railing against segregation and then practice self segregation? To celebrate your culture is great.... but not when you just make it up. Do africans celebrate Kwanza? No! Its the poor me syndrome in the US. Sounds harsh but...... don't see many americans investing or working in africa. Bottom line..... Kwanza is celerbrate with no backbone.

In a word, yes, but it helps to understand why it is.
Any race, color, ethnicity of a group of people, who single themselves apart from, and at the exclusion of all other groups of people, is segregation. Case in point, Kwanzaa.
If our Constitution, and The Bill of Rights state, that "All Men are Created Equal" and we all have "Freedom of Speech", then why do we need the NAACP, BET,[and other Black TV/radio stations], the Black Caucus, United ***** Fund, the ACLU, Affirmative Action, etc, under the guise of helping minorities, when instead, they promote hatred, intolerance and polarization......
segregation....?
This is the 'crock' I mean; yours too?

I'm not sure I like you calling it what you did, but to me it's more of a made up holiday.
