Santa is not a religious figure. He is affilliated with a religious holiday, but is himself utterly secular. There are no religious aspects to him.
Perhaps if your workplace is THAT PC, you might try 'secret friend'.

Santa is the symbol of the commercialization of Christmas for a secular society... there's no affiliation to God/Jesus/Allah, etc... Santa's the coupling of the material world and folklore that's been passed down through the ages... people, especially kids, gotta find hope somehow, somewhere... hope it stems from a loving family and good friends.
Oh yea, we don't call it 'secret santa' or 'gift exchange' anymore... we call it 'white elephant' -a game where u get to 'steal' gifts from others who opened a wrapped present... who came up w/ that? I like what the other person said above, "gimme, gimme, gimme" - that's a part of our present 'christmas', i mean 'holiday season' culture, at least where i live...

Ummm, Secret Santa is secular.
The myth and legend of Santa Claus has nothing to do with religion. He didn't deliver the baby Jesus for goodness sake.
But if you work with people that would be sooooo offended by the use of the word "Santa" then you could use "Secret Friend" or "Secret Gifter".

I don't see why it matters, considering Santa has nothing to do with religion...
But my school used "Secret Angel" once. Personally, I like gift exchanges better than Secret Santas.

Santa IS secular. He and the easter bunny are society's response to Christian beliefs about Jesus. So Secret Santa away! If they can do it at school, it should be NO problem at work.

That is ridiculous... is Santa even religious anymore... give me a break (and I'm not Christian, but I think not using Secret Santa because it is religious is just ridiculous). Anyway, you could use Present Partner.

please! stop trying to be so politically correct; call it Secret Santa and those who do not celebrate the Christian holiday don't have to participate; they can create their own Hanukkah Harry game or whatever is particular to their religion
