Is it lame for a nearly 16-year-old (me), a 15-year-old, a 17-year-old and an 18-year old (my best friends) to go trick-or-treating? Are we too old for it? We fully plan to dress up appropriately and be nice and stuff, not cause any trouble. We just like candy. Are we too old? We're gonna also party it up at my house afterwards, trick-or-treating isn't our only plan.

Just seeing the amount of stress with the costume/party/candy/deco's/themes.....Mate I'm in Australia so I have no idea, surely if you have this celebration year in and year out, would there not exist some kind of formula for the order of things? Is it really that stressful? I mean there is an entire holiday category dedicated to one night!

I have some friends coming over on Tuesday (Halloween) for dinner, passing out candy, visiting, and watching a movie to get us into the Halloween mood. We recently watched Sleepy Hollow and Hocus Pocus, so those two are out. Some of my friends don't like really scary, but are all adults and so don't need kiddy movies. Any suggestions for a fun/cool movie we could watch that everyone would enjoy and would put us in the Halloweeny mood?

Today at church I heard our pastor say that we do not celebrate Halloween but I thought that we were the ones that brought this tradition to America? Did we change our mind over the years or was he just wrong?

According to WikiPedia, it was originally a Christian holiday. So why does every christian I know (well, to clarify, they're ignorant 12 year olds) say that it is made by the devil?

... Because I think it will be! So far, I've won a costume contest. And that really made me happy! I've got these senses (like Spiderman) that tell me this year is going to be great. I hope we don't get rained on here in Michigan!! =P

You think it'll be a good year?

Well , as we mostly know , for example Columbus Day is because the discovery of Christopher Columbus. Many other holidays have reasons too, does Halloween? I know that it is a fun holiday though.

I have 5-10 lbs that I would like to lose, but with Thanksgiving and Christmas quickly approaching I am beginning to think that my efforts may be worthless. I always give cookies as gifts, and Thanksgiving is hosted at my house, so it makes it hard to avoid all of the food that comes along with the season. Anyone else have this problem?
