I have a very soft-spoken voice and even in a small group if I say something, sometimes I'm overpowered by others. This young woman will somehow hear me and will ask me to repeat what I said so she can listen. She occasionally gives me advice on my problems with guys. It was hard for me to open up but I did little by little over the past few months. I even started to reach out and interact more. But I'm worried about interacting TOO much. Right before the holidays, I naturally reverted back to my quiet and shy mode. She started to make an effort to get me talking again.

Any conclusions or insight on either of us?

Like going to a cinema and thinking you shouted something out.

It can get really annoying

Anyone else do this?

I sit at a corner in my kitchen

At the furthest corner, on my own

Eating a bowl of cocopops

Dad is washing the dishes,

Mum is watching the news,

And my brother is playing on the computer

I suddenly notice something move

A bug on the kitchen floor

I stare, he walks, i stare, he stops

He's lost and out of place

He's looking for a way out

Dad says something about the news, i don't really care

I decide to pick him up

I trow him out in the garden

Back home, back where he belongs

Apart from me, nobody noticed him

Apart from me, nobody cared

Apart from me, everyone is home, where they belong

Which term do you think is more appropriate: Hard of Hearing OR Hearing Impaired. Why must one with a loss of the sense of hearing be labeled "impaired"?

So we have this Great Room and it's sorta new and I moved everything out of the way so we could play DDR and stuff. I even designated an area and put a cover over the carpet where I was going to have drinks and food and stuff like that on a certain table.
And we could all just have a really good time in there...but no. We're not allowed to eat in there which is RIDICULOUS because I said that I'd put towels down all over the couch so no one would get Cheetos fingers all over the furniture. All my other friends are allowed to eat and do anything they want in their living room...what's so great about MINE?
Is this normal? To have a mother who won't allow you to eat and drink in their EVEN WHEN you say you'll clean up the room til it's sparkling afterwards. Or putting down towels on the couch so no crap accumulates. Is this ridiculous or am I just overreacting?
(I am a 14 year old freshman boy who just wants to have a party with 6 or 7 people. If that adds anything special)

Hi there, as you read the news today of the "Run Away Bride" Anu Solanki. She expressed her sorry and embarassment for causing so much trouble and wasting $250,000 searching for her. She said that in no way she intended to deceive people into thinking that she fell into a river. Do you think that the real purpose of this woman, running away and causing so much trouble, is just to have an easy way of getting famous and becoming celeb as the "Run Away Bride of 2007" ? Any comments and feedbacks are frankfully welcome.

As you know that we work for company and earn salary, how can we afford them everytime gifts. This is really upset me. I do not know how to answer them in a good way and not dissapoint them and must let them know i'm not petty but this is a matter of money. Thanks all.

I live in a housing complex and my neighbors are so annoying! They have no kids over there and all day long they smoke weed from morning to night not on their porch but in their home, and u can smell the weed when they open the door every one comes over their to smoke and all day long people are knocking on the door disturbing me even though they have a doorbell. i am ok with them but only because they are my neigbors and im just being friendly but secretly i cant stand being next to them how can i convince my landlord to move me to another apartment without me snitching and telling about the weed they constantly smoke because im trying to raise a family here and its really stressing me out i feel like im next door to a tavern.

yesterday I called into my parents place to tell them about something, they had another couple there and I said my hellos to them. Then mum spoke to me so I turned to listen to what she said but at the same time one of their friends asked a question. I was immediately bawled out by my father for being so rude and not answering his friend right away - I had no idea the guy was even talking to me. I turned around and said I didn't hear the question as I was being spoken to by Mum - it didn't stop him from carrying on and saying I should have been listening to both - mind you mum at times is very hard to understand she'll start talking about one thing then go off about another and back to the first thing - so you really need to pay attention to her.

i've been dating my boyfriend for almost a year. my grandma gave me a card with money in it to give my boyfriend for christmas when i next saw him. when i gave him the card he opened it and said oh that was so nice of her to think of me, but left the card laying on the table and put the money in his wallet. it seemed rude of him to not take the card and this keeps bothering me. what do you think?
