People post things that have nothing to do with the question or the post hateful things. I dont get it....

I thought we were here to help others, not tear them down....

I think because it's anonymous here. They can be as ingnorant and hateful as they wish and we're their captive audience.

If they acted like this in the real world, they'd either get punched or ignored.

Maybe they don't know they are ignorant. Maybe they post their questions and comments on here expecting to have a bunch of people agree with their ridiculous ranting, and are surprised that they get nothing but angry replies. I honestly feel bad for people like that because they really don't realize what they are missing. To live with an open mind and heart is one of the smartest things we can do as human beings. There are so many different cultures and things we can learn from each other. It's a bummer that some people are satisfied with their limited knowledge...

Just feel sorry for them and pray! OH, and anyone else like to see some posts in the singles/dating area that aren't posted by 14 year olds? Not trying to be a jerk, but I'd like to see some grown up questions to help with!

Unfortunately, I think the only real reason is 'because they can'.

The seeming anonymity of internet communications lets some people feel free to say whatever they like, and many of them do.

The pity is, what they want to say is often so puerile, infantile and nasty minded.

I try not to read it, and if I accidentally click on it I just move on to the next question, but it's certainly boring having to wade through it!

However, there are many really pleasant and interesting people here, so I try to concentrate on them :-)

Cheers :-)

I wouldn't say 'so many people'. Rather some people or a few people.

Sometimes, people answer in a humorous fashion. A little levity amidst heavy thought is appreciated.

From what I witnessed, on any one question, it's at least 85-95% legitmate answers. That's a good percentage.

The glass is half full :)

people love this type of platform to express their true feelings with a bit of anonymity. We are not all the same. You know that there always has to be someone who is problematic.

its due to them leading sad lonely lifes and not being confident enough to enter the real world where real people would probably shun them.

no real repercussions
in real life, people wouldn't say half the things they say on here
