How can this possibly be conceived as being offensive?

Wal-Mart only sells jewelry/watches from some manufacturer by the name of Elgin. Why is it that I can't find any Seiko watches or Rolex or Citizen or Fossil watches? My parents' response was "Those brands do not want to be affiliated with a 'Discount House.' " Why did they call it a "Discount House"? They also said that those brands are exclusive to specialty jewelry stores. Are my parents right? Do you think those brands belong ONLY at dedicated jewelry stores? Are those brands "too good" for Wally World?

explaining the danger that he is in:
Remember that this is an informal letter and you are married to Edward.
Start your letter: ( Dear edward or perhaps My Dearest Husband).
First Paragraph:
explain why you are writing to him: briefly mention all the dangers that edward faces. explain why you are writing instead of speaking to hin personally- you are scared about who could be listening. you are so proud of your husband now that he has been crowned King.

Secong paragraph:
explain to him why richard is jealous of him- there are at least two reasons.

Third paragraph:
you need to tell edward that hi is not paying enough attention to you or to the job of being king. what is he doing instead?

fourth paragraph:
explain what richard plans to do to cause trouble between edward and clarence. what will happen to clarence too if edward doesnt act quickly?

My usual source for New Year's cards appears to be kaput this season. Can anybody help me find them online? I want to be able to buy them a dozen or so at a time. Many online sellers only allow purchases of 50 minimum. They aren't available in stores in the U.S. No Japanese or Chinese New Year's cards, please.

Hello everyone,
This is my first year in a house (former apartment dweller).
Do you give a "holiday" gift or tip to the post person or trash collector? If so, how much?
Thank you.

Does anyone know of any churches that do not allow all family members to attend a wedding of a another family because they do not attend the church, do not attend church or other stuff.

If they are any such churches here in the USA, why isn't there more of a public outcry over this disgusting and horrible practice? What should be done to end this ?

I was at a high school basketball game the other day sitting with all of my friends, and my mom a few rows behind me. When the national anthem began to play I, like everyone else, reverently folded my hands and faced the flag. My mother however put her hand on her chest, as someone does when they say the Pledge of Allegiance. From 4 rows away she broke the silence and started going "psst, psst" trying to get my attention so I too would put my hand on my chess. I ignored her hoping she would just stop, and stop distracting everyone around us. After about 30 seconds I did put my hand on my chess, because I thought she was too distracting. That aside, was it more disrespectful for me to not put my hand on my chess or for her to distract others around her??

I work in a small company and was thinking of giving some Christmas gifts (like mince pies or something else that could be bought in a nice package and shared with families) to co-workers who work close to me but are lower in rank. A couple of them celebrate Christmas too but the other two are Muslims. How (in)appropriate would it be to get them something?

At the workplace there are other three people who are higher in the hierarchy as well as the owner, all of whom are not Christian either. I don't think I should get them something, would you agree?

PS: I am new at the office, so I am not particularly close to any of them, but it is a friendly office environment.
PSII: Gift ideas or suggestions are very welcome!!!

My neighbor has tacky Christmas decorations. They include 3 blow up lawn decorations (one blow up Santa, one blow up snowman and one snow globe)

They also have light up reindeer on their lawn, as well as a mixture of white lights and then colored lights.

It's extremely distasteful.

Another neighbor of my is extremely annoyed also.

Can we write an anonymous letter to them asking them to tone it down? What do people think?

I do not want strangers kissing my baby. Usually it is older ladies that want to walk up and kiss her. I do not anyone's lips on my baby. The only ones that is allowed to kiss my baby is her grandparents, her brother, her aunties and uncles, and me and my husband. How can I kindly let people know that they should not kiss my baby?

I earned a Ph.D. in a so-called "soft science". Outside of a college/university environment, I think addressing me as "professor" is as unnecessary as a civilian addressing a military person by their armed forced title. I wouldn't mind being addressed as "Dr.", but I prefer to be called by my first name, or "Mrs." or "Ms.". I think "Professor" is appropriate if I'm your college teacher. My mother is having a cow over this. I don't get it. I just prefer to reserve the title "Dr." for physicians. Am I the only one who feels this way?

Why does a man state that he really wants to get with a person? Then when the person reciprocates, the person who "gushed" all over themselves, "acts" as though he has no clue. This has not been done "once" but multiple times. When he appears, he is all "happy" to see me. He even pretended he didn't say that he cared for me, to all of those people. What is going on here. The way that he acted, it almost sounded like an advertisement. He "kissed me" on the cheek at a "party" and no alcohol was served there. He "hugged me" in the aisle at church. This is very strange behavior.

I finally got to see the Nutcracker last night, something I've been looking forward to for years. At the end of the performance, as the dancers were taking there bows, there was a loud obnoxious girl screaming her support with loud "woo-woo"s for one of the dancers. It happened enough to make everyone's head turn to see who was being so obnoxious. I was seriously contemplating saying something to her afterwards about having some class at such an event, alas, she escaped over the balcony or something. Would you say something if pointed looks were ignored?

The office party is at a remote location and does not include spouses, but I was given special permission to attend.

Should I go, given that I was asked to go by the "big boss", but will probably be scrutinized by other colleagues; or should I not go and don't worry about it?

I want to go, but I'm afriad other colleagues will think "favorites" are being played.

I had this maid of honor, who was pushy and over bearing. It was really starting to get on my nerves but i chalked it up to jelousy Well she got pregnant and she was having finacial troubles big time to start. so now she is going on welfare to have this baby , so by the time it would come to get a new dress the cost would go up considerably and in addition it would make the other girls have to pay more to particapate and I didn't feel it was fair to them to pay more because of her. So i asked her to take another position as she was really stressing me out

after she concured with everything i said accepted the new position when I presented it to her in a polite manner I never mentioned her nasty behavior traits that were really bugging me. i told her I thought with the cost going up that her baby was more importatint and that she could still particapate in the wedding without the cost. and that her life was about to take a big change and she could really use that money instead

My boyfriend and I broke up and I was devastated. I'm a therapist, and there was no way I could have maintained my composure working with clients. My doctor faxed my supervisor a note excusing me from work for the rest of the week b/c I was such a wreck. I am pretty tight with my boss and I told her the truth and she was sympathetic, and offerred any help, etc. (she's awesome). I missed important company Christmas parties, etc. while I was gone - I know many people know I was gone for a while... Problem is: I'm returning back to work and everyone (clients included) think I was "really sick." I don't know what I can say that's short and simple, plus, I'm looking to transfer departments - where the new supervisor is nebby and will "act" concerned and probe for details b/c she's "worried." I need a short and simple response that will satiate people - but relates to me being sick for days, since that's what they were told. CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME? Thank you!

Do you know a hooker with a 'heart of gold'?
I don't. Most Hookers I have gone with have ended up stealing something from me: A mobile phone, jewellery, an empty wallet, etc.
I dont take hookers home anymore now. I dont even let them in my car. I do it like in a alley way or in their place.

Have other men had this problem?

I am having neighbors over tonight for dinner, Now i like these neighbors but sometimes they over-stay their welcome. I decided to have them over at 4pm today beacuse i don't want them staying late, but they normally always do....We have always gone over thier house, so today is the first time they are coming here. It is a husband and wife and the wife likes to drink alot. We have a full bar in our home which lures them over.

Either way, how would i get them to poiletly leave if they stay past thier welcome without it looking like i am rude?
