Why does a man state that he really wants to get with a person? Then when the person reciprocates, the person who "gushed" all over themselves, "acts" as though he has no clue. This has not been done "once" but multiple times. When he appears, he is all "happy" to see me. He even pretended he didn't say that he cared for me, to all of those people. What is going on here. The way that he acted, it almost sounded like an advertisement. He "kissed me" on the cheek at a "party" and no alcohol was served there. He "hugged me" in the aisle at church. This is very strange behavior.

Please don't waste your time even trying to analyze him or any guy that acts that way. Life is too short and you are worth more than that!

If you have to ask this question - the answer is always NO. Guys like this crave attention to feed their ego - they run hot and cold according to mood. They like thinking they have you as an "option" if they want you or are going thru a dry spell.
Believe me he does this to multiple other women as well. If you start to act distant from him, he will "turn it on again " right away. Guys like this who play emotional games are always bad news - kick him to the curb before he has a chance to really hurt you, he is not worth your time.

Some guys have no clue about relationships! They are very wary and I would call and ask him what he wants to just be friends or have a more serious relationship! When other people ask him these questions he may be uncomfortable or unable to commit!
Only one way to find out ask?

oh, he is just a flirt who flatters himself that he can get to a woman by acting like he likes her and he really means nothing by it. he is just trying to see what your reaction is. it has really nothing to do with liking you, he is just trying to see if he can get a reaction. ignore him completely. it will drive him crazy and you wont be humiliated by him. in short, it means nothing. does he care for you? no.
