Other examples are David Lloyd George and Arthur Conan Doyle. Was Arthur's mother named Conan and Father named Doyle? Does a dual last name mean some closeness to royalty?

If I order from a chinese place or any resturant there is usully a line for a tip and I never know how much to give.

Also, a lot of places that I go to now have tip jars where I wouldn't normally consider tipping. Is it considered rude to not leave a tip?

I have spent a significant chunk of my life waiting in line behind someone who has ordered a ton of stuff at a drive-thru. Aren't those things supposed to be for quick in-n-out purchases?

I have a fairly large rose garden and have to cut flowers before they make seeds so that they keep blooming. They are dozens of beautiful pink and red fragrant rose stems in full bloom, and I hate to throw them away. Can I just give to just friends or co-workers for no reason? Do you think they make some second guess? Or will they be annoyed?

why is it that if you ask ONE question on here, you get responses from RUDE people sizing you up like they know your deepest thoughts and who you are? Why can't people just give their honest answer without casting judgement.

Last week, I was at the mall. I was looking for a new bathing suit. I went into the GAP, and was looking at some. This lady next to me-- she was probably around 30, I don't know, was looking at them, too. She was on her cell phone discussing the bathing suits with her friend-- some female. She was looking for a bathing suit for her husband, apparently. She picked out this purple, Hawaiian print (flowers), one and said to her friend "I don't know if he would like this-- it's kind of gay looking, I don't know.."
She then looked at me and said "Is this bathing suit gay?" I thought that was a funny word choice for a grown woman. I responded "Yeah, a little bit..". She told her friend "Yeah, this guy next to me thinks it's gay!".
She then asked me if 15 other bathing suits were "gay".
I was so close to saying "You know, I am gay. People can be gay. Bathing suits can't be gay.", just to see her reaction.
I'm not gay, but what she was saying bothered me.

Does anyone kind of agree?

What is the proper etiquette if your sitting next to someone on a plane for a long flight and you dont wanna talk? Do you just sit there mutely and not respond to them or what do you do ?

I have seen it in movies and I've even seen people do that. It's kind of hard to explain but they touch their nose almost like if they're agreeing with something. What is that something? What does that mean?

Any funny or fun story will get some points!

Here's an example of what I do:

If someone is in a public bathroom on their cell phone, I like to make A LOT of bathroom noises. I fart as loud as I can, flush the toilet, ask them for toilet paper, anything to make it sound like they're in a bathroom. This is even MORE fun when they're trying to hide the fact they're in a bathroom!

Sometimes, when I'm in the movie and my cell phone goes off, rude people tell me to be quiet. So I stand up and block the projector as much as I can. That's pretty fun too!

Anybody do anything fun like this?

Its supply and demand. The faster you use it the more it’s going to cost. If America stopped using and buying gas for one day, there would be double the gas at the borders. The gas prices would drop at least in half.. However it’s not feasible for people to just stop using gas, However, we can all do our part to reduce the consumption, and lower the prices.

in the midle east women can't belly dance in public because thier considered whores. women are only supposed to belly dance for thier husbands. why is this so if belly dancing is a fertility dance that was done before the bride got married?

It's such a childish "I told on you!" response. here's a thought, if you don't like a question, ignore it. Or, just report it instead of childishly bragging about it. I know you like the little bit of smug self satisfaction and pride you get when you type it, as though you have some sort of authority over the question asker. WHY DO PEOPLE FEEL THAT THEY HAVE TO DO THIS?????
