why is it that if you ask ONE question on here, you get responses from RUDE people sizing you up like they know your deepest thoughts and who you are? Why can't people just give their honest answer without casting judgement.

Two things. First they can't see you & don't know you so naturally they assume the worst. This has happened with questions I've asked, I've been surprised that people take it upon themselves to comment on aspects of my lifestyle that have nothing to do with the question at all and that they are only speculating about!
Secondly, and this is also from my own experience answering questions, the responses tend to be very reactive and off the cuff and people just want to say something quick and clever and often as mean as they can think of, for fun. The fact that you are not a real person to them but just a question makes it easy, especially for those who are naturally unkind. I do make an effort not to be mean in my answers to people, but sometimes when I have thought I was just trying to be funny or clever, I might have hurt someone's feelings. I hope not though!

Becuase this site is free. If you want more serious answers you have to pay at a site like Google Answers.

I don't know why they do the mean or rude answer thing..
I sometimes answer with some Humor. I hope i don't offend anyone...I even get picked as best answer sometimes...++

You have to accept the fact that this is open to all kinds of people, and answers are given personally, in the best they can think of, for you to decide which is best. That is, freedom of expression, . . .to answer in any way, to be able to shake your convictions in their way of thinking. At the end. . . you have to use your very own insight, affirmed by opinions you think leans to your own way of thinking. . . . It always help to have conflicting views to way things. . . .

because people have such low self esteem that they get some sick pleasure out of trying to make others feel less than they are. or they think they are being funny and they are not.

maybe their honest answer was judgment.....im sorry to say that we live in a world filled with judgmental people who do just that....they judge others usually causing hurt and anger. im sorry i didnt answer your other question but im sorry

People are just arrogant and mean. Don't pay those morons any attention and if their answer bothers you that bad, report them.
