Physical, mentally or emotional pain.

Do some people have a higher tolerance to pain than others.

If you take ALL the seniors from this site, what a wonderful fun place it would be. We could finally meet face to face all those we have grown to love as friends among other things.
We have the knowledge to really create a wonderful place.
It wouldn't matter what your race, religion, sexual preference, etc. were either. Just a bunch of old farts having fun.
May sound a bit like a fantasy but it's only a fun question.

The host of the show was Andy Devine, they had a little cat that would dance, and an evil little frog "Froggie".

They had a theme song for the kids in audience "I've got a gang, you've got a gang, everybodies gotta have a gang! But their's only one really gang for me......good ole Andy's gang."

Was this show exclusively in the New York City area? I have friends from other areas that never heard of it!

at supermarket checkouts don't give out vouchers or points when the shopper is entitled to them?

I don't know if it happens in other stores but when I shop in my local supermarket, if I use my own bags, or re-use a bag, instead of taking a new plastic bag I'm rewarded with "green clubcard points" for being a good girl. If I go to a checkout where there's a female or older male at the till I get my points, but never if I go to a till where there's a young male.

Just curious! but it could explain why certain checkouts have short queues. What do you think?

A HUSBAND IS AT HOME WATCHING A FOOTBALL GAME WHEN HIS WIFE INTERRUPTS,

"HONEY, COULD YOU FIX THE LIGHT IN THE HALLWAY? IT'S BEEN FLICKERING FOR WEEKS NOW"

HE LOOKS AT HER AND SAYS ANGRILY;
"FIX THE LIGHT, NOW? DOES IT LOOK LIKE I HAVE AN ELECTRICIANS LOGO PRINTED ON MY FOREHEAD? I DON'T THINK SO!"

THE WIFE ASKS,
"WELL THEN, COULD YOU FIX THE FRIDGE DOOR? IT WON'T CLOSE RIGHT."

TO WHICH HE REPLIED,
"FIX THE FRIDGE DOOR? DOES IT LOOK LIKE I HAVE HOTPOINT WRITTEN ON MY FOREHEAD? I DON'T THINK SO."

FINE, SHE SAYS,
"THEN YOU COULD AT LEAST FIX THE STEPS TO THE FRONT DOOR?" THEY'RE ABOUT TO BREAK."

"I'M NOT A DAMN CARPENTER AND I DON'T WANT TO FIX THE STEPS", HE SAYS. "DOES IT LOOK LIKE I HAVE WOODIES DIY WRITTEN ON MY FOREHEAD? I DON'T THINK SO. I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF YOU. I'M GOING TO THE BAR!!! "

SO HE GOES TO THE BAR AND DRINKS FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS. HE STARTS TO FEEL GUILTY ABOUT HOW HE TREATED HIS WIFE, AND DECIDES TO GO HOME AND HELP OUT.

They must be intelligent creatures - for on the outbreak of peace in the glen - they have returned!

All is well and the laying has begun!
Hetti has returned having travelled the furthest and looking quite odd.
She has returned sporting a Brazilian.
His name is Alphonse.

Rooster Cockburn is not at all pleased with this new development and is doing a bit of preening himself to shape up.

We have a make over team coming in - the lads who were in room 4 of McTealc Towers are graciously giving of their time and themselves.

Mr. Eyes is returning.
So its just a case of getting the heather out of my hair from my night on the moors with McTealc. It was very educational. He showed me a lot of military moves. One in particular was a very hands on exercise. I think he called it the 'pincer movement' - more of a tight squeeze but we will keep practising!

Any volunteers to clear up after the hooley on the moors - we dont want to attract any vermin - do we?

I got hit friday night, night of the rehearsal dinner. Car ahead of me slammed on their brakes, I slammed on mine, just had time to think "thank God I didnt hit her" and smash - guy hit me so hard he catapolted my car into the car ahead of me.

To make a long story short, made it through the weekend on demerol & muscles relaxers, went to ER today when I realized I couldnt feel my hands, except they felt big and fat and funny. Was running a bath and thought " oh great no hot water" because it felt barely lukewarm to me. Then stuck my elbow the tap and it was very very hot !

The Doctor at first examination thought I had broken my neck, slapped a collar on me, put me on a spinal board, wouldnt let me move, an hour in xray and concluded my spinal cord is severely bruised. MRI sometime this week and an appointment with a neurololgist. The point is my presence has been sporadic here, this is why. Especially after the nice welcome back and all. Neck, shoulders etc pretty sore.

It seems that those eggs that the doxy Roxy stole last week (it seems more like years, does it not?), WERE actually those of a Roc female, who had been banished by her brethren for taking up with Rooster Cockburn!

Yes, our indomitable, shy and sweet, not able to mate with the chooks Rooster Cockburn actually had set his sights on larger game!

The blushing mother is a formidable female of her type with shining golden feathers and red gimlet eyes. Fierce she looks, but sweet she acts when her man struts by crowing to all to come and look at his offspring. For they are truly wondrous!

Right now each of the babes are bigger than their sire...all golden fluff and red-eyed desire for sustenance! Boy can they eat!! We have had to decimate the rest of the Lady's Clydesdale herd to feed the brood.

So what do you think? And what shall their names be?

Ok, "I'm Here" just got me
athinkin. When I was little, my
mom left me at kiddyland in the Famous-Barr store in St. Louis. What a joy that was.
Later, I would go with her to
all the floors and look at all
the goodies. The ladies in
hats and gloves and the elevator operator that sang out: "First floor, jewelry, powder, purses, gloves,
perfumes, Second Floor:
whatever. There were no
shopping carts so we had to
carry the various boxes. then
there was lunch on the mezanine. Wow, tuna salad
in a tomatoe. Then I got the
streetcar ride home. I also
remember the "Bon" in Seattle, which is no more.
Ladies how did you like the
genteel style of shopping?

I'm in college, and an organization I belong to is planning to go to the local Bingo place. There is a theme, they want us to dress as older people. This organization is NOT trying to offend anybody (it is a Catholic group, they try to find clean, fun things for us to do). I really love older people, I am a Hospice volunteer and my grandma is my best friend, so I am kind of worried that we will offend some of the Senior citizens? Do you think the theme is cute, or tacky and potentially offensive?

Thanks!!

of date rape when he was a teen? I saw on TV where a man is challenging the law because he can't attend his child's school play or take him to a playground. Sex offenders are not suppose go near schools or playgrounds. This is an across-the-board law for all sex offenders, regardless of the crime. What say you?

I read today about the Cleveland high school shootings and within that article they noted that despite what people may think, school shootings/killing are rare [mathematically].

OK, I realize today's media coverage allows us to know much more quickly what is happening everywhere - however, do you remember ANY school shootings/killing When YOU were growing up and in high school? Did you EVER hear of kids bringing guns to school? Was I just sheltered?

Would really like to hear your take on this. It breaks my heart that children today don't seem to have coping skills with life's challenges.
