GRANDKIDS!!!

The best things for me, as I get older now, are the simple
things, that are free. Seeing children laugh, and babies smile
and seeing baby animals of all kinds. Seeing horses run in
a field or over a prairie almost brings tears to my eyes for the
beauty I see in their movement.
Getting a card in the mail. Getting email with forwards to
make me laugh. And pix of places where I'd like to travel.
Hearing my son's voice over the phone, for the first time in
12 years recently. It didn't sound like him, but he has a mans'
voice now.
Getting a visit from a childhood friend. And feeling good
about the fact, she still cares to be a good friend.
And watching our two Chihuahuas' play and interact with
each other. My how they can make a person laugh. They
truly bring alot of joy into the lives of my hubby and I.
And the ability to maintain my sense of humor, when through
all the adversity that comes into ones' life, you can still manage to look back and find some humor in the calamities
that once occurred.
I truly appreciate life now, and don't take any day for granted. As years fly by with incredible speed, the older one
gets. How amazing to feel you have endless years ahead of
you when you are young. And so yearning to be 21, and you
think there isn't anything you can't do in the years ahead.
Life is too short, so make yours count to have others remember you by.

Breathing, it lets me know I am still alive! Did I really say that or did my computer just take off on it's own?

I don't consider this "stage" of life to be any different than any otherl. I do not feel my age and I do things that make me happy. I'm finally able to do the things I truly want to do with no accountability to a boss. Yes, that's the joy out of life right now. I get up when I want to, go to bed when I want to, do my walks, shopping, cooking & baking, gardening, travel. And, I'm extremely healthy, though disabled.

What's not to enjoy?

Family, getting reacquainted with my wife, being able to learn new things that I never had the time for before. eg as the Stock Market, welding, a gunsmithing course(AGI). Staying up late to watch Texas hold em tournaments, sleeping in. Listening to Sirius radio 74, the blues. Like the song says, if they don't have the blues in heaven, I ain't going. lol

2) Hip joint inflamation at times
3) Loving family that calls at least once a year to see how I am
4) Deep friendships developed over the years that have lasted for many, many years
5) I can do what I want when I want to do it
6) a home that I love, like living in Hawaii year round
7) the ability to buy what I want, but I find I don't want anything
8) working.. I love working, love my business
9) memories of loves past and present
10) What's not to like...I am relatively healthy, have a great life compared to far too many, am free to do what I want....basically, I love life.
Peace and love to all, Goldwing

Waking up every morning to find I'm still alive. (Just kidding.)

Something very selfish: Once we retired we could have pets, and we adopted a whole litter (three) of female kittens.

We couldn't have pets while we worked nights, because it wouldn't be fair to them to be left alone half the night and ignored half the day while we slept.
