I'm from Germany and one thing I have been wondering a long time is why do Americans always say Africanamerican instead of just black. What do you then call a black person who isn't an American? Why do you not call white people something like Europeanamerican?

I am obsessed with race relations right now, particularly between black and white people. Many times I have nothing to say because I'm afraid I'll offend someone. And I feel racist sort of doing this because I'm not all antsy around my Asian friends, we can openly make fun of eachother and know we're just kidding, but am really uptight around black people in the fear that I'll say something wrong. So do I need to lighten up and not worry about it so much? Sorry about all the race questions, it's just something I can't help thinking about a lot these days.

I am 25, so well past the teen-angst stage. I find it hilarious that these people are all dark and gloomy and "misunderstood" and that the only way for them to show their emotions is to adopt a particular hairstyle and label themselves that way. I mean, guess what people, in 5 years you will realize that you were just an angst ridden teenager, like the rest of us have been and you'll be super embarrassed about your fancy emo hairdo hahahahaha

I live in Suriname; our native language is Dutch. So my writing isn't soo good. I'm 35 years old. I work at a distribution company and I'm a ICT supervisor. My salary is about $550,- p/month. I'm now busy trying to get a loan of some money from a bank to build a new house of my own.The cost of the house is about $36000,-. I'm living with my girlfriend wich is preagnant, at my mother's for the timebeing. I have a peace of land about 420m2 big and I wonder if you could help me build my own house.

We are raised with certain taboos. Somethings are just wrong (like killing raping etc). Why is it that we think that? I know we are raised like it. What if you where raised to think killing is okay if you think the other person deserves it. Would that be right? Do we have a right to judge critize other cultures that are very distant to our beliefs?

I live in a mostly Muslim country and find most of the people here are kind, gentle, understanding, open and friendly. So why must people talk with such ignorance about people they don't even know. They read the hype in the papers and watch the crap on the news about Muslims but only hear the bad bits.
Do you know that Muslims are the most charitible people and care for the sick, poor and elderly more than most nations.
I have known Muslims to go to the local hospital and give to those worse of than them even when their own wage is meager.
Get of the band wagon and meet the people you so want to discredit and maybe you will be a better person for it.
Oh and I am a athiest before you go of on one.
Life is to sort to hate.

I asked some questions to Americans and Asians recently and got rather poor or even insulting answers. They don't seem to like us at all so I think it's time for us Europeans to show some friendship to eachother don't you?
