Jesus came to save all people. Should we not remember this during this part of the year? The Three Wise Men, for example followed the teachings of Zarathustra. There were no Muslims around at the time, but I believe Jesus died for them as well.

Channel 4 asked her to do it. It would be rude to ignore the invitation.

The Christmas message is just "an address to The Nation" which happens to be at Christmas because it's a time of reflection and getting on together ~ or had you forgotten?

Even Her Majesty's own speech is no longer a sermon for British Christians.

BY THE WAY:

!!!<< JESUS IS A PROPHET IN ISLAM AS WELL >>!!!

What are you so afraid of? Do you think this veiled woman will brainwash everyone into being Muslim?

ALSO: I've just read your comment, "Where are all the English people?" Well, the BBC website has just reported that 1 in 10 brits are moving abroad to buy luxury flats in poor countries: charming!

So when the veil woman is giving her Christmas message i suppose all the Islamic Extremists are going to come out of hiding and have a good sing song with the troops....yeah if you believe that you are more stupid than i thought.

I agree that not all Muslims are the same and they must not all be painted with the same brush, but giving way for the queens speech. It is a British Institution and we seem to forget that in the act of trying to be "politically correct". It is an absolute farce. I suppose they are going to let Prince Harry do the call to prayer from the tops of those towers....i think not.

I have no problems with people coming to this country, but they must understand that it is a British country. They have to live with the predominantly British way of life. Not get all up in arms because we are celebratying our faith. Ok it disagrees with their faith, but that what makes us unique. When was the last time that British people had a riot in the streets of a Muslim country because there is no Alcohol. There has not been one because the majority of Brits respect there beliefs.

What if Ramadan was represented by the Pope or by a Fascist BNP member....i am sure they would get well pissed off at that.....nuff said

First this is a huge publicity stunt and secondly Muslims believe in the prophet Jesus so why not say merry Christmas to one of the other religions of the book (old testament)?

I think the timing stinks and I know a lot of people will take it the wrong way. I also don't like a veiled woman representing Islam as there are loads who aren't covered at all.

It shouldn't be offensive but with the current feeling and the way it's being presented it has the distinct smell of fish to it.

Where were these thoughts and considerations when the Native Americans were being killed off on their own land? Do racists act the way they do because they learned (from Native Americans) what happens when you try to be peaceful with other races? Native Americans welcomed Europeans into their world and now where are the Native Americans? The few that are left have been herded onto so-called reservations and had to completely uproot their way of life to make way for the "white man." What did Muslims do to YOU that caused YOU to be the way you are?

Christmas should be celebrated in Britain as it has been for hundreds of years and nothing, not even religion should get in the way of that.
I can see where you are coming from (even if put slightly strongly). We must stand up for ourselves as British people if we want to keep our way of life and if a Muslim wants to change the way we run our country, they should be told. It is called Britain not Persia.

Hey calm down! I heard on the BBC only the other day that a lot of Muslims in Britain actually tolerate the British.

Totally agree with you. The world has turned on it's head. Can you imagine the outcry if they televised a Ramadan speech by someone dressed as the pope or a nun? And I bet the decision wasn't made by a muslim but by a politically correct white liberal loony.

Oh for heavens sake grow up. I had Sikh neighbours and they celebrated Christmas as well as their own holidays. They even sent Christmas cards!! I sent one to them!! They were lovely. If channel 4 want to spoof the Christmas message and you don't like it, then watch another side. I will watch channel 4. I'd like to see a veiled lady deliver the Christmas message. Oh, one other thing...........learn to spell
