Your right that we are probably in no position to judge others nobody is perfect, who says killing is wrong what about all the cultures that sacrificed humans to there gods, these people didn't think it was wrong, and clearly western society does not think rape is wrong, the number of rape victims is staggering in Ireland and the UK, yet this is the most serious crime that can be committed it is such a personnel invasion I really do not know how anybody could get over it.

If you can walk away from something with a clean conscience, you're not too bad off. As for your question about whether it's because we're raised like that, I think it is. There have been countless studies where children, for example, were raised with no outside contact and they never learned to communicate or speak. The same follows here. We all learn from our surroundings, if we see people who represent our superiors hurt others than we may feel that what they did was justifiable and that even perhaps the victim deserved it. That's why there's such a big controversy about the effects of t.v. and children. But in the end it's really down to how you feel about it and whether or not you can say "I can justify my reasonings for the things I did, and I won't let anyone convince me differently."

Society as a whole is the judge of what's wrong or right. A culture that professes killing as right would be deemed wrong by the mores of the rest of society. With the rapid communication we have today, world events are viewed at the speed of camera, so there is a larger world opinion now than there was twenty years ago. If any other culture wanted to kill me just because they thought they were "right", I'm afraid I would have to retaliate in a fashion which would make me wrong, also, in the eyes of society. This is the kind of behavior that breeds war, and send a message of hopelessness to those opressed in the world.

Actually "right" and "wrong" are extremely relative. It's going to be different for everyone - the world over. You really just have to live by your own, personal moral code and try not to judge others.
Remember, just because one person (or many) think something is "right", doesn't make it so. Not so very long ago, people thought it was "right" to keep blacks as slaves - was it "right"?...no. But society at the time thought so.
It's relative and changes with the times, and where you are in the world, so no, you really shouldn't judge other peoples or cultures.

1. In some cultures, that's not wrong. In the past (maybe even now) people have practiced whatever it is they think is necessary for their own survival.
2. Basically what's right or wrong is arbitrarily agreed upon by a consensus. Your own sense of it will be affected by what you grow up with, esp. at the time you are still building your right-wrong matrix.
3. No. If it works for them leave them at it. But, if we have mutual consent then why not? If it would be better for everyone then go at it.

Killing can be justified in many cultures. Most killing can be quite painless as well. Whereas raping, the victim knows that it does not feel good, and is usually left injured. Raping is not right in any culture, although accepted out of fear in some, it is still not psychologically and mentally accepted.

When people follow the right path that was set to them by Allah the one who created the universe and the one who knows what's good or evil until the end of time, things go very smoothly.
All that harms you or any other creature is not permissible in Islam.
we do not have the right to impose our thinking on other people. but we have the right to express our views and offer help whenever we deem necessary.

in some countries killing and rape are considered ok in certain circumstances. all cultures are different and i do believe that we should respect other peoples norms and values. it is hard sometimes though when from an outsiders point of view we can see certain groups of people being oppressed e.g. women in a lot of arabic countries. it is hard to know how much you can 'interfere' . . . interesting question thank you!

In most retrospectives, you are right, but laws prevent this acts of violence, and stating that doing them is wrong, and why would you raise a child like that in the first place?

We as humans natrually gravitate to the thought process of Treat Others How you would like to be treated. No one really has to teach us that. We do however need to learn that We should treat others how they would like to be treated. Then we would be even better off.
