How is it being 'seperatist'? There are hundreds of organisations supporting/claiming to represent the different religions - Jewish, Christian, Hindu, etc. It is a sad point that people do get discriminated against due to their religion, this is just one of the many groups who are there to help - why have you singled this one out?? It has nothing to do with stopping people from integrating.

nothing. They make it hard for muslims to live piously. Look at the Shariah compliance Mortgage, all that has been done is they changed the word interest to rent, so you get a percentage of the property ie 20% and you pay rent on the remaining 80%, so in effect the shariah banks becomes the landlord but will not fix things in the property your renting if things go wrong. They can not even monitor the Halal food distribution, many so called Halal outlets are selling Haram products and duping their customers. Muslim council of Great Britain, should be horse whipped. And that guy Sir Sacranie, his surname means intoxicated, drunk in the Arabic language, its a effing joke. Muslim council my A R S E

When there is a minoruty group or faith within any country there has to be an organisation or grup that represents that faith or nationality (if there is a lot of them). It is not so much FOR the Muslims as in they benefit from it somehow, but a spokesman in parliment or when discussing social aspects of English life like integration as you mentioned. However, it has failed to work to some extenent as the people don't like to pay attention to what they have to say and choose to listen to radicals instead who preach hate.

It is to Shi* disturb and see how much they will get away with before they launch a great idea to have their distinct language heard in the houses of parliament as the a-holes did in Canada where all the goodie 2 shoe politicians voted for them to get the votes for themselves..IDIOTS letting a minority rule via the so called human rights crap and to us e the so called aimed at "ME" discrimination bull they all seem to know the phone #s to call about..You are Muslim living in the now English speaking free world and if you like the jerk way you were raised and your language to be national then go home and be dictated to as you are trying to friggin well put it all onto the rest of us.

i dont know and really dont care i know its only a small minority of muslims who seem to despise our way of life but isnt it funny how its always these nutballs who end up speaking for the rest of the muslim community, and if they do actually represent the majority of muslims and the oppinions they have of the rest of the nation why are htey still here when they,d clearly be happier back home where they can treat there women as second class citizens and fight amongst there selfs. and before any muslims start you tell me how many women are in your coucil of great britain

It's like having a president of a housing association. By having a council there is basically a designated group of spokespeople. It is only being separatist because it is a group of people with common cultural heritage. In the same way I guess you could call a Star Trek fan-club separatist because it does not want members who hate Star Trek.

The idea is to have one organisation speaking on behalf of all the different groups, which in itself shows the sate of the Islamic comminuty in this country. Its supposed to be a collective voice and what annoys me is that the tax payers fund it to the tune of almost half a million pounds a year to listen to crap from its President with a very poor taste in hair style.
