I keep seeing it written on YA. Is it the same as punk or goth? How is it the same or different? I see it with style things what does it mean in terms of style?

In this country it seems like the lighter you are the more beautiful people think you are. It's so annoying. I used to model and do a lot of beauty pagents and alot of the judges said I was too dark. It seems like you have to be white or be a black woman who looks white(with straight hair, light skin) to be coinsidered beautiful. Why is our socitey so biased like this?

I have a SERIOUS PROBLEM with my mother-in-law being a member of the modern-day Ku Klux Klan. I often think that had I not been white and blonde, she may of never accepted me marrying her son. Anyway, originally, I am from Boston and I knew all kinds of WONDERFUL people from different races:) I just CAN NOT STAND to be around my mother-in-law and hear things like....."The main reason for all the crimes in America is because of the black people in the ghettos.....the Jews have control of all the big corporations.....Hispanics are coming here illegally and getting a free ride from from our government" TRASH like that she says. I have told my husband I do not think I want to associate with his mother anymore by this point (and we have been married 8 years) because I get SO SICK of her IGNORANCE!!!!! What should I do about this? Should I ex-communicate his mother from me? I have tried to be close to her, but these racists issues keep us seperated. What do I do here?

I know my father is american indian and my mother is white but all my dna matches came back asian some were for native american tribes USA and in central america but the strongest was Japan the China then Korea followed by theAmerican Indian matches.I didnt get any European markers at all they all were asian.Any clue as to why?

Well, ok i get so many americasn saying how they didn't like london because of the food, well you can see food is so important to them, and i'm sorry americans but we don't do XXXXXXXXXL fries here, notice that you are like the only nation so obsesed with food, we only eat maybe a slice of toast in the morning, you eat pancakes, eww. If you don't like britain than go back to fatland and there maybe you can get 50 donuts for a dollar, but don't come here if you don't like it, you are just a waste of space here, and nobody wants you, if america is soo great, stay there, please do us all a favour

Im irish, well parents are but i was born and raised in london and i must say i love this country, it is home, english have the most to be proud of, the world changing bands, the empire, the english language and the humor, well, where i live in london there aren't only a small handfull of english people, london is the most multicultural city in the world, i can say im proud of my home, but also Ireland, all you english should be very proud, this is one amazing country and probably the best in the world, apart from Ireland ;)

You hear black or brown pride, you aplaud them. You hear white pride, and you frown upon them for being racist. On what grounds is it acceptable for a person to have pride in themselves? Is it color or race? I personally disapprove of boasting about your race or ethnicity. To be proud of something, you first must earn it. Even if you have something to boast about, what did race ever have to do with it?

As you may see, I am myself a minority.

I have a major problem. Ever since I've moved to Tennessee from California, I have been emotional. I have been holding all of my emotions in, but I hate Tennessee so much. I have been a straight A student from elementary school until high school, but now I just do not care. I procrastinate just to see how much I can do until I crack under pressure. I hate school. (Don't worry, I don't want to kill myself). I was Student Government president in Cali, but over here, no one knows me. They stare at me funny, and if I try befriending them, they think i am a dork or a geek. Either I'm, too Indian or too tan or too smart or to outgoing or to comfortable. Ugh. I just wish I was a blonde white chick from CA. Then I would be accepted. By the way, my parents will never let me visit a therapist because they do not believe in therapists so please do not suggest it.

we have reached the stage where man must fight fire with fire,
putting our scarce fresh water resource into the 70 fires burning in victoria seems a bit absurd
this dry continent learned over 100,000 years ago to put fires out is as simple as using up the fuel in the fires path ,
seems so simple ,but those simple people we wanted thier lands, so we poisiend thier water holes ,gave them sick food to make them sick ,put thier parents in prison camps ,reeducated thier children into white fella think ing ,now how do you put out the fires in a drought?
when you allready killed of the native fire fighters,
is it a bitter harvest or we getting the fruits of fair return
stolen lands are cursed ,
giving water away to huge multinationals for mono cropping seemed such a good return ,getting big or get out seemed to be the way , not catching the water from your own lands seemed a good way to fill the rivers to save the water in one huge damm ,
serving the big master
you forget the land?
