you say apart from Ireland... so why do you live here?
im english and very proud to be so and i was once very proud of my country
unfortunately
all we are now is a dumping ground for anyone that wishes to come and sponge here (and no i dont mean you)
i dont like what this country has turned into, no other country would put up with what we do.
we may be a multicultural society .. but what about OUR culture. and no im not racist either
i just want my country to be something to be proud of again, and i want OUR children learning OUR culture and education, i dont want my nephew to have to say 'good morning' in school in bangladeshi like he has to
i wouldnt want to change any countries culture if i went there to visit or live, i would want to go to that country because of the culture it already has

I love England! i think we should be more proud to be english - Scotland is always trying to be more independent so why cant we be our own country. People just say England or Great Britain as the same thing and dont think of England as a country so i think we should stop being "british" and be proud to be english!
I always say that however much it rains here i wouldnt ever want to go and live in spain or anywhere else thats always sunny. I would rather stay here in the cold and the rain just because i wouldnt ever want to live anywhere else but england! I would actually hate to move to another country - i would just miss england so much!

England has alot going for it rep wise...It has some awesome authors it can claim (ex. Jane Austen), rich historical heritage, and there is a classical dignity to England. Anyone ever wonder way Masterpiece Theatre is always English, because people associate England with culture. If it was in French, or Itallian, it would seriously lose its public interest.
Englands legal system is far more efficient than American (even though I do love my country this is just fact), and even though England is having a problem with illegal french immigrants lately, and has its problems, its still an awesome country!
ps, who doesnt love the expressions "Old Bean", or "God save the queen!"

Yes, it used to be great until the present government decided to sell the country down the drain, strip it off its identity, invited the whole of Europe to stay, persecute the good folks and reward the felons, teach our children to accept other religions but suppress Christianity.
There are just too many things wrong with England and it has gone drastically downhill the last 10 years. It makes me fired up the condition the country is in now compared to years gone by when everyone I knew thought highly of Great Britain but not anymore.

I spent three years living in Geneva and I had to move back to England in the end because I missed it so much. Its a great country and London is a beautiful, amazing place to live.
I have nothing against other nationalities coming to live here, I just wish they would stop telling us not to practice our traditions and customs. If they want to live here then they should adopt our customs. I read that in Hackney there was no Guy Fawkes effigy cos the ethnic groups didn't agree with it, that's PC gone mad!

Yes! I think England is a great place. And will stay a great place as long as it doesn't turn into a bit of every other country and loose the English bit.
America isn't too bad, but it's still not England, although I think we could do with stealing some of those cheerleaders lol

Yes, I would have to agree that England is a great country. It has given much to the world especially it's language and laws. The Americans have improved on it though so I can't agree that it is the best country in the world.

England is a great country, Yes.
Sadly it is spoilt by the ridiculous politics, political correctness and other stupid systems in place.
Take Council Housing for example, it used to be in place for people to get affordable housing, it is only available to immigrants or assylum seekers now. What do the indigenous people do?
