I am a senior sociology and anthropology major at The Ohio State University. I am currently working on my senior research which relates to race relations and the development of ones sexual identity and or preference. I would like you to answer a question for me either yes or no

-- I feel Black women are the least desirable race of women.

If you agree say yes if not no i don't need any explinations.

I would greatly appreciate your honesty and your answers. Thank you.

Ok, I've read the other questions similar to this and everyone got flamed as a racist, but here it is anyway.

Notice that I used "black american culture" NOT blacks, and "white american culture" and NOT whites. Race is NOT an issue here. I know plenty of white people (especially kids) who are into black culture, and I know black people who are into white culture.

You cannot argue that adherers to black culture are not louder in general than the majority of the public, and can usually be heard above the common talk in a public place. Why is this?

Again, I stress, the issue here is with CULTURE, and not RACE. There is a distinct difference, and if anyone flames me as a racist because of this you are just showing your own ignorance.

~Thanks~

Are we permenantly marred with the crimes of our ancestors? What if they did something great, are we then better ourselves? Should caucasians be held guilty for slavery and Jim Crow? Are Americans and Australians guilty for the subjugation of the indiginous peoples? Are the French permenantly indebted to Americans or the Germans indebted to the Jews? If so when does it stop, after all you don't hear the Greeks complaining about the Roman conquest.

seriously, im sick of people trying to copy it, its so degrading. why do people think that we all work at 7 ELEVEN and dance in circles wen the moon is out. HELLO PEOPLE get with the program. people always think indians should get the bad jobs like a taxi driver. actually, some of the worlds richest and influential people are believe it or not indian. why? because were smart and did calculus in the 8th grade. im not saying that everyone hates on indians, but recently ive felt a lot of discrimination. i just want to know why people are so narrow-minded in their beliefs

My mother described our ethnic background as French, Chippewa, and Bohemian. Is this Czech or is this Polish? I don't think she was taught the proper origin and therefore mispoke when teaching me.

I live down south (US south) and have become friends with somebody who just recently moved here from up north. I never really realized how "country" me and my family were, until she pointed it out (in a nice way...she wasn't rude). But she said its just the little stuff, like the way we talk (obviously)..the fact that my granny makes her own medicine (with whiskey and Hore Hound candy)....my uncles wedding (took place at our pond at night...every body brought their guitars and "partied" pretty much).....and then of course there are big differences. She says you about need a passport to come down here, but in a good way.

In all honesty I have never been to a part of the US besides the southern states....is it really that different?

Thanks for the answers!

Has anyone ever moved from one place to another where the accent was different? I am trying hard to keep my "Philly" accent, but I'm noticing little things I'm starting to say like Wisconsin"er". I swear I'm not trying to talk like them, but is it possible that your accent just changes because it's all you hear? Is it possible that you pick up the new accent, without trying, just because it's all you hear??

"HOLLYWOOD - Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow's recent comments branding Americans not as civilized or intelligent as their English counterparts has sparked fury in her homeland.
The Los Angeles-born actress made her remarks to a Portuguese newspaper last weekend, and almost immediately radio stations across America were besieged with angry callers regarding the Shakespeare in Love beauty's comments.

She says, "I don't fit into the bad side of American psychology.

"The British are much more intelligent and civilized than the Americans. I love the English lifestyle. I'm not as capitalistic as America."

However, one caller blasted back saying, "If she feels that way we are far better off without her."

MY COMMENT: I mean, she was made rich because of us Americans buying into her talent. I for one will not support anything she is connected to or any of her movies. It makes me sick. She needs to stay in Britan and never come back here.
