It's increasing worldwide. HIV infection is rising in every region of the world and most worryingly in countries like Uganda and Thailand, which had been heralded as success stories in the fight against AIDS, the United Nations said on November 21.

I don't know the stats, but I'd put my money on it. As long as people insist on living the "if it feels good, do it" morality, AIDS will continue to be a threat. I had a family member who died of AIDS, and believe you me, that taught me more than I EVER wanted to know about the disease. It's a horrible, painful way to die and I truly wish people would wake up and take the threat seriously. Until a cure is found - it is FATAL. It's not something you can just ignore and it will go away.

Yes ! especially becuase the ratings used to be 18 yrs and up but now its hitting hard from 13! who are not even educated enough to use protection, Or simply because they do not see how serious AIDS can be.. or any other STD

actually I read a report that children born with HIV has all but disappeared in the United States due to preventive treatment.

as for overall numbers I have no idea.
