I'm doing a project and I need some help on finding some true leaders. My teacher pointed out a few like Princess Diane and what she did to help research AIDS and what Mother Theresa has done. Anyone that is well known for their efforts and accomplishments?

Gandhi. Think about it, one man freed an entire country and had millions of followers all on his own without money, advertisments, TV commercials, or gimmicks. Ordianary people can buy publicity and airtime, but it takes a true leader to pull off a revolution all on his own.

I would suggest there are many true leaders out there that are NOT famous. I am sure you can find people very close to home that are real TRUE leaders.

rosa parks, lady bird johnson(lead the u.s.a. to clean up the country), martin luther king jr, harry truman, f.d. roosevelt, columbus, oprah winfrey, bill cobsy, jackie robinson,danny glover.
