I am switching doctors. When I first started going to my current doctor I lied cause I was caught off guard by the question.Do all doctors ask this of new patients?I am older and a little more comfortable but I not sure she will need to know "that" about me. How do others handle this question?

I mean I know we have suffered years of torment and abuse from homophobes....but would you be a heterophobic? I'd like to think I wouldn't change at all, but then I guess we'll never know. How do you think you'd react?

really mean anything...I have what? about 65000 points. Don't you think it would be nice if Yahoo could somehow match our points and we could donate them as cash to a cause.Yahoo certainly makes enough money off of us.... Say, for example, that if you wanted to donate your points to a gay or lesbian organization...or to animal welfare ...whatever, you'd just say I want to donate them to...and that would be it.

Gays can't marry because they can't reproduce when having sex.

Oh, but we can use birth control or have it at certain times of the month...

I just got a violation for an answer I gave last night and the violation was completely justified. I worded the answer wrong and did not re-read it before sending. I am sorry if I upset or offened anyone (I would certainly understand).

I am sure any of you that know me, would know I would never say/think a thing like that. My ignorance......appology accepted?

If you don't like what someone has to say why block them or report them when all you need to do is give them a thumbs down? are people to afraid to hear other's opinions that don't agree with theirs? how is it that people that can claim to be so open minded about things can close their minds to opposing views?

What the hell is wrong with people these days? I have been looking around Yahoo! Answers today, and came across mothers and fathers complaining about their gay sons and daughters! They are asking "how to turn them straight and back on the path of the way of god!"

There was even this bible-crazed woman with a 21-year-old gay son who she was trying to force him into a bible "straight again" camp. She told her son "If you do not attened this camp, you will not be apart of this family anymore, for the sake of the rest of us! I don't want your homosexuality spreding around to the innocents of our non-sinned family" Later, she told everyone that her son attended the camp, scared of being un-loved from his family. She said the camp didn't help, and she literally stopped loving her son and they don't speak to eachother any more.

So, I guess what I want to ask is... Is there really people like this? If so, tell me about it.

I just moved in with my aunt and uncle, but there is this guy a few years younger than them living here named Paul. I'm sixteen, by the way, so I might be overreacting, but Paul acts a lot different around my aunt and uncle than with me and I think my uncle is abusing him... and I think my aunt knows.

I say this because Paul always acts kind of scared around my uncle. I don't know for a fact or anything... and I love my uncle to death, but his tone can be a bit... harsh sometimes. I don't know what to do. Should I ask them what's going on? Another thing--Paul is always doing the housework and chores if that helps.

While I do not agree with your lifestyle, I only state my opinion and answer the question posed, which is what this forum is about. I do not use derogatory names . You make disagree with 100% of what I say but isn't the purpose of this to get differing opinions ?

i work at a local nursing home as a housekeeper.our administrative staff is so rude, along with the rest of the staff.they expect us to do work that is not in our job description...for example ,picking up trash that they throw down on purpose, leaving bm diapers in the floor, and saying things like,"Oh thats ok ,the housekeeper will get it"we already do part of the cna's job, also patient escort, and make sure they are turned every few hours.reporting abuse and neglect, falls.and are expected to clean up spills that the cna's do or it will be there all day.we get treated like we are no one,but can you imagine what the place would look like if not for us.our job is as important as theirs, why do they look down on us.

So far, 98% of the guys that have shown interest in me, and also that I have shown interest in have all been "closeted". Am I sub-consiously wanting this for myself? Why does this consistantly happen? I have no idea at first they are in the closet, but, then they say they are and then they get nervous and distant but stay single. I am not aksing them to come out or tell the world - just somebody you can talk to and relate to..

Am I looking for this and not knowing it? Am I not worth it? Why does this happen? I just find this to be a pattern and don't know why. Maybe somebody knows better than I? Talk to me.

Some background information: One of the best-known boycott of the LGBTQ community was with the Coors Brewing Company starting back in 1973 for their practice of a polygraph test which included a question about one’s sexual orientation. Since then, the Coors Brewing company has since made several attempts to counter this boycott. How important is it for us as members of the LGBTQ community to know that the businesses we patronize does not support homophobic causes? Where do we draw the line?
