I am curious how many gay or lesbian people would be interested in actually adopting a child?

Personally I would not at this point, my daughter is19 and just moved out last summer to attend college so the empy nest thing is nice for us. If we had the opportunity say 10 years ago we would have adopted a child.

However what about you, would you adopt a child?

OOPS! You guys are smart! I staged the question wrong so we will try again!

I still love someone that voted to ban gay marriage. They still love me, they want me to be happy, but they don't agree I should get married.

Has this ever happened to you? Have you deleted people you love for disagreeing with your lifestyle?

There, that's better! LOL

I know what mine is: It's when I hear about ppl REPEATEDLY engaging in definitely gay stuff (sexually) and simply not considering themelves the least bit unstraight. I mean there's no need for labels but COME ON...

Then again, I haven't come out fully yet...

So what issue/occurence/phenomenon/trend just bugs you from your perspective as a LGBT person?

I know lots of people talk about it, and I believe it's theoritically possilbe, just that it hasn't ever happened.

Am I missing something, or is there any legitimate record of orientation being changed?

Okay, lets say you're a man and you're gay (if you're a women just switch the scenario around). You find this great 'man' who just sweeps you off your feet. He just loves you all the ways you dreamed. Then, you find out your 'man' was born a women, who went and had a sex change. Are you still considered gay, even though your technically with a women?

I don't mean the trolls who give one or two word insults - I mean a genuine decent user answers your question in a negative, rude fashion (but without trolling) because they don't agree with you. Why should they be so harsh and judgmental? The questioner only asked an honest question without insulting or attacking anyone.

I say that we start doing one of the following: Whenever you hear someone say something along the lines of "that's so gay!" you correct them by saying "no, it's so homophobic!" Also, in situations where people would call something "gay" you instead call it "homophobic".

Before you assume wrongly that I'm trying to be offensive in any way, consider this: I'm a woman who is interested in a particular guy and I just want to make sure that HE is interested in WOMEN. ...and not men. Because then, of course, he'd technically be unavailable (for me) if he were gay.

What is sin? What is your definition of sin? Not what is told to you by others and certainly not the Bible’s definition. But what do YOU define as sin? What are your sins? Is it something that you do not agree with? Is it something you fear of becoming? Is it just your fear? Or is it just a projection of our fears?

Who are you to tell me that I am sin? Or that I have sinned? What qualifications do you over me have other than the Bible or the "moral majority?" Why should I subscribe to your definitions of sin? By asking these questions, is it sin? Is sin knowledge or the lack thereof? Is sin about understanding or the lack thereof? Is forgiveness our greatest sin of all?

Look at our definitions sin and maybe we all can learn something new. So now, tell me, what is sin?

I see it so many times that it's wrong because the Bible says so. Hmm, what about the millions of people on Earth that don't read the Bible? Or that can't read the Bible? Other religions? Does it mean only well read, literate Christians are homophobes?

I'm Gay and in a relationship with a guy. My Grandma is really Chriatian and hates Gay people with a passion!! She always tells me how Gay people are going to Hell for their sins and stupid stuff like that! She even one time tried to tell me once that Gay people molest kids more than straight people. Even though she says stupid things like this, we are still very close, and have been since I was little. She is actually a very nice lady when she's not being a total *****!! She campares Homosexuality to Bestiality and rants about how Gay people are all over T.V. and God doesn't like it.. Me and my Mom have decided not to tell her but I can't hide it forever. After I graduate High School I was going to Boston, MA with my boyfriend and then moving to the U.K. My question is, should I stop talking to her all together once I leave Texas? I don't want to deal with her anymore and I know she will HATE it if I tell her. I know it's kind of sad to cut off a family member but I think I might have to.

What do you think?
