Oh my....we have a lot of time on our hands. I would say yes because you didn't start dating them when they were a man you started dating them when they were a chick.

I know this guy, who says he wants to be a woman, and he's in love with this other guy who also wants to be a woman, neither of them have had the operation yet. But if they do they then would that would make them lesbians or gay men?

Okay I'll answer. I just had to laugh when I read it and felt like being funny in response. Sexual orientation and Gender identity are personal matters, you are what you believe you are, especially if you act upon it. Now in the scenario you descibe this man was attracted to another man whom he believed to also be a man and acted like a man. So his primary attraction is to men, which would make him gay.
Now the really funky area of this area is if you're only attracted to people who've had sex change operations, then what is your sexual orientation? I guess we'd have to come up with a new word for that one.

Technically, you are not with a woman. Transgendered people take the steps to match their bodies with who they are on the inside. I have many transgendered friends. Woman-man. As women they were with women, as men they are with women. Technically, they have always been straight.

for you not to know that it was a woman that had a sex change means that they dressed and lived as a man and just had sexual woman parts. so technically yes that would still be considered gay

he isn't technically a woman. he WAS a woman. and sexuality is entierly body-preferance... so you are still in love with a male body, so yes, you're gay. and you're with a man. However, if he never had his gender legally changed, you might be able to get married! yay!

good question. Now this is what i believe, they are still a woman, because they don't have the parts anymore. But also love is not a gender. love is a connection in the brain and you could love any gender. I wouldn't call it anything, a label is a label.

Well, if you need to find a label, then a person is gay if they're exclusively attracted to the same sex, but it doesn't really matter. Labels are just labels -- people shouldn't let a label dictate who they are. You either find somebody attractive or you don't.

Yes you would, because of the outer appearance of the guy. They have sex changes so a person can become the opposite sex successfully.

is this theoretical or a real "?" ? didn't the person who had the sex change do it because they felt like they were the opposite sex? and Dr. drew (yea, loveline!) says that many men have sex-changes so they can have lesbian relationships. different, huh?

I would say yes.

And I really don't think it matters personally.
