Your mother is doing this out of concern for you and she has your best interests at heart. It may feel like she is invading your privacy but she is doing what all good mothers do-protecting you, so lighten up at least you have a mother that cares about what you do.

I'm guessing you're a teen. Parents are humans, not super robots, they make a lot of wrong choices too. All you have to do to be a parent is to have sex. Try to deal for a few years. If it gets to bad do whatever you think you need to. Just never hurt yourself and always remember you are a wonderfull beautifull person and once you're 18 everything gets MUCH better. Happy Teenaging!

Do you live in her house? If you live in her house, then I have to side with her. If you want complete privacy, then you need to move out.

My mom did that last week, yes I did get mad because some numbers came on the list she printed out that never even called my phone.

Well, I don't really have a reason to check my daughter's phone, but I reserve the right to do so, should I so choose....I mean I do pay the bill and all....even if I didn't, if I want to I will. It's a parents job to check up.

This has nothing to do with gay/not gay. Let me ask you...who pays for the cell? If she pays, she has every right to check it. Whose house do you live in? If you live in her house, she has every right to check it. How old are you? If you are under 18, she has every right to check it.

Privacy is a highly overrated word. At my house, under my standards, privacy is only for adults. Adults pay for their own phone, housing and everything else. If my child is doing ANYTHING I have the right to know. It's my DUTY to know. It's part of being a parent.

No. That means no trust would be given to her. Just because you're under her roof, it doesn't entitled her to go through your phone book. Its called respect of privacy.

I can't even imagine having had a mother who cared.
You should feel lucky that your mother cares about you.

I think you should find some very odd 800 numbers to call and see if she checks them out
