That's something I'm still working on myself as a third wave feminist and genderqueer/transsexual person. Resolving transgenderism with queer theory isn't that hard. It's resolving queer theory and transsexualism that gets difficult. That's probably part of the reason I prefer the label genderqueer to transsexual most of the time.

i believe that there are some transgenders that think they are not gay however they just want to be the opposite sex. Feminists may veiw these attempts to become a woman, for the male side, as a blatant attack upon the feministic idea, yet they do not realise that transgenders do not care about this, so i am told. Not being a transgender i can not fully explain the thoughts and virtues behind the belife that envelope this taboo, i am only a simple gay guy.

I think you need to be more clear about what ideas you are talking about, what part of queer theory (and from whom) and specifically how you see that relating to transsexuals specifically, since that's what you ask.
This is an academic argument more suited to a post-grad paper than a superficial discussion.
The Third Wave deals in sub sectors of the female movement and each of these do not agree with each other, so the subject is far too expansive. I am reluctant to expound on my opinion because it is based in only one experience with one sub group and its policies regarding men and transsexuals.

OK...as an (ahem) mature person who is also trans, I'll put in my $.02.
There some feminists of the so called "radical" school who say that women who become men are betraying their identities as women and essentially "selling out" their bull dyke cred for a deeper voice, facial hair and some
muscles. They also think that MTF's like us are just wolves in sheep's clothing who, in spite of any surgeries are just well...MEN!!
This is the crowd that kept us out of the "womyn's festival" because as far as they are concerned, only "womyn born womyn" were welcome. This is basically the "men are the problem, and the sooner we get rid of them the better" solution.
Genderqueers make them tremble in their Birkenstocks and rend their flannel shirts.
Queer theory is spectral and inclusive and confuses everyone, including us, so don't feel bad. Here's an example:
A friend of mine is a transboi who recently performed in a trans art showcase dressed in girl drag: he sang five numbers from "Annie"
He used to be a girl, dressing like a girl playing up the part of being a very camp gay man...get it?
Drag Queens were pioneers because they slapped gender assumptions in the face. Genderqueers are those of us who do the same thing now to the gay, lesbian AND straight world...we're showing everyone that you may htink there is a black or white, but that everyone is really just a shade of gray...
(stepping off pink soapbox)
