Hmmm!

They don't talk. They don't work. They don't sleep (at least not at night) and they don't wash.

But at least if you stick one in front of a computer you can get on with your own life undisturbed.

If you want to know what's going on their lives you have to contact them on IM.

i think no matter what decade, teens are still the same. any high school america: the jocks, the preps, the cheerbitches, the drama club, the sporty girls, the band kids, the geeks, the social outcasts .... it's fairly timeless if you ask me.

what changes is technology and social taboos. teens, depending on the decade, react to whatever recent social taboo has emerged and learn to cope.

although, because of the whiplash of technology in the last 20 years or so, it's become increasingly "in your face" for teenagers. things move much faster ... things like myspace and facebook can make or break a kid (it's the new telephone hour) .... texts, cells, wireless .... kids are constantly connected to the world and each other - there's no time for reflection or relief (if you are the center of gossip at the moment) ...

there's also tons of stress with college because today, college degrees are such the norm that they are the equivalent of a high school degree 20 years ago. Kids in high school now worry about college for the sole purpose of graduate school, since that's the final step nowadays.

i am grateful i'm not a teen today on one level, on the sexuality level ... not so much - i think although it still may not be totally accepted - it's much more common than just 10 years ago when i was in the middle of my teen years.

Well .. Since We All Fit Into Catagories Like Emos Chavs Preps etc ... I'll Say We Suck As An Age Group But As People We Are Pretty Much The Coolest People Alive

Seriously Think About It - We Know Who We Are ... We're Mostly Perfectionists .... And We Are Generally Having More Fun ...Everybody Else Is Either Too Old/Young

I'm a teenager, depends, i dislike a lot of other teenagers because they are far too cliche, they're aspirations are to "go out, get drunk, get laid, get pregnant, get even more drunk, throw up, drink some more" irritates me a lot, althogh admittedly i am finding there are less of these than people think, yeah my friends and i like a drink, but we aren't gonna go out and trash someones house in the process, what's wrong with sitting down and having a laugh.

I am a teenager, today, and I hate it. Life is so complicated and confusing. Go back 20 years and all they cared about was there hair. There concerns were not in college, just finishing high school. I hate growing up in this time period. My hair is curly and very high (like the eighties) and I absolutely despise learning, except reading. I would've loved to be born when my friend's mother was 1975. That way, you'd go to school in the eighties. That's what I wish I could've done.

Ugh I HATE THE WORLD TODAY!

It depends, some are really good and others, who are bad, are way worse than anyone I ever encountered when I was a teenager. Teenagers (some) have no problem cursing around someone grown and being very disrespectul, when I wouldn't have even dreamed of saying half of what they say.

Some of them are wonderful and some of them are awful. Most are ordinary, decent people who deserve respect just like any human being. I'm a mum of 3 kids and hate the way teenagers are automatically blamed for the problems of the world. Some grown ups can be utter bastards and no one blames their age on them!!!

Depends on the group. The "preppy" ones [especially the girls] who all look the same... youve seen them in the mall, bleached straight blonde hair, mini skirt, tank top, flip flops, IQ < 75, usually going for a degree in fashion design or elementary education (im not saying those are bad, but 90% of them choose that as their major b.c they dont know what else, so they copy their friends), etc.

im scared for the future. Seriously, when I become 90 and cant take care of myself anymore, i dont want these kids taking care of me, when they cant spell the word anonymous without a dictionary... ya know?

the future is bleak if these teens keep up their "ditzy, california valley girl/boy, i dont give a shi*" attitudes

well i've not long come out of my teens (20 now) so i'd say: superficial, confused, lonely, bullied, better educated in technology, have lots of peer pressure, money troubles, lack of political knowledge...well it is all down to 'older people' to help sort them out. teenagers are the result of the previous generation and get the blame for everything.
not all teens are bad and not all teens are good.
there is a lot of drugs easily avaliable now more than ever
unemployment is high for school leavers
i have to concentrate on the negative points because there are not many positives for the present average teen life that's why i try to help out teens as much as possible because i feel it is my responsibilty to help our future generation
