I know so many American men in the Philippines married to a filipina and I was told they'd never go back to an American woman again. Generally speaking (since I believe many American women are very good wives), what is it about them that the men do not like?

is there anyone here who once believed being gay was a choice and could be reverted and now no longer does? Please answer if this is the case and explain what happened or why you changed your mind.

I am proud to be a lesbian
I am proud to be a mother
I am proud to be a recovering addict/alcoholic
I am proud of who I have become despite the struggles in my life
I am proud to be open-minded, fair, and honest
Those are just a few - I just want to know what YOU are proud of about yourself.

heterosexual people seem to know everything about homosexuality? I mean, they ''know'' it's a choice; a chemical imbalance, abnormal, immoral, etc....YET non of these people know what it's like to BE gay.

Interesting, huh?

AND when they ask us why we are gay, it doesn't matter what we say....they revert back to the old stand-bys....GOD said this...my pastor said that.....it's not in nature....it's not normal....BLAH BLAH BLAH.....

When will people realize that we have no reason to lie? I know I don't. I have NEVER answered a question with a lie. I have no reason to. I'm not a perfect person, but I try my best everyday to treat each and every person with the same respect they show me.

anyway....let the onslought of insults begin!!

if a person does not mind whether a person is gay but does not like the lifestyle they have, does that make them homophobic.

Saw something on tv today that kinda got me thinking...
Lets say hypothetically that its 30 years in the future. Genetic engineering of humans is now legal, and parents can choose specific details for their children's phenotype and genotype (physical and genetic characteristics). Parents can also now choose whether or not their child is straight or gay.
Almost all parents who choose to have their child altered choose it to be heterosexual. In essence the entire gay population of the world is decreasing as children that would be gay are made straight.
There are no harmful side-effects from this engineering. All the children that would have been born are still born, only none of the ones that have been engineered are gay.
Would you object to this?

ok, Last night i went to church with one of my friends... Well there was this girl there that i have liked, for a while now, and she finally asked me out. OFC i said yes, BUT you see i am a girl, and well her parents didn't know that she was bisexual... But then last night i asked her at church if her parents knew, and she said no... THen after church at about 10 30 or so, i called her from my friends cell, and asked her what she was up to, and she told me that her parents are really mad at her because she told them about me and her.... They put the buble in her face, telling her how much of an "abomanation" being gay was..... She was pretty upset, but she still likes me. But i feel bad that her parents are mad at her.... What should i do?? I mean i dont know her parents, and i dont want her parents mad at me.... Any advice??

I love being a bi guy, and i wouldn't trade it for anything. But i've also had tons of fun with the guys in my troop and at camps. I know the BSA frowns on gays, and I'm not sure if it frowns on bi guys too. I'm also getting tired of pretending to be straight, and having to blow off people that think i'm gay/bi. Can anybody give me some advice, I really don't know where to turn and what to do.

I am trying to deal with the fact that I am gay. I don't know what to do. It's something that I have been fighting since I was a little girl. I don't want to come out to anyone because I am so scared that I will end up alone and potentially break my families heart.
That Dr. Whatever girl makes me feel like that is probably the way my family will treat me and that scares the ever loving crap out of me. I don't know what to do and I am so torn. It's easier to love a guy and have a family, but I am more attracted to women. Why is this so hard and why can't I embrace it?
