sesame street came out and said that they were going to make Bert and Ernie a gay couple. they also came out with a Muppet character that had AIDS. i heard some parents complained that they didn't want that on a kids show. so they didn't do it.

Bert and Ernie, hands down. The only reason I might not think so is because Bert is lax on the manscaping. No gay male would purposely keep a unibrow.
I'm not so sure about Spongebob and Patrick but "Sandy Cheeks" the squirrel, is a huge lesbian. She power lifts, does extreme sports and fights a lot. She tries to make Squidward her beard. That pink flower on her helmet isn't fooling anyone.

Sesame Street's Bert & Ernie. They lived together, whereas Spongebob and Patrick do not. And Bert and Ernie are weird...Sesame Street always gave me the creeps.

Only a jerk would take the fun off a kids show by usuing that word. You should be reported. This is not right. I'm 13 and think that Spongebob is the coolest cartoon ever. It's not fair to search for Spongebob Squarepants questions and have to stumble into yours. You should be ashamed of yourself. You and everyone else who views an innocent sponge as a target for abuse and those who accuse him of things untrue. Spongebob is only neive and doesn't know of such words.

Bert and Ernie are possibly gay or they could just be roommates. Spongebob is a sponge and patrick is a star fish both of those animals are asexual.

Bert and Ernie do not sleep in the same bed, therefore, they are not gay. Sponebob has worn dresses and is very emotional. But I don't believe Spongebob is gay but possibly Transgendered.
