I've been in relationship for five years with a man. It's been going down hill for the past couple of years. Suddenly, I find myself wanting women and one in particular, I think I'm in love with. She is the most beautiful woman in the world- at least top ten. I probably don't have a chance with her because she is out of my league and she knows about my relationship... I am so confused!! Also, if I do break it off, how do I not crush him?

I can't tell you the number of questions on here asking, "Why are people gay?" Why can't people just accept that we don't know why people are gay and we might never know? In fact, we don't know why people are straight either. That is a fact. Yes, we know a man and a woman are designed to have children, but that still doesn't explain why we have separate sexual orientations. There are some things in this world that don't have an explanation and I don't see anything wrong with that. I don't think we are supposed to understand everything. That's what makes the world so mysterious.

I am happy about who I am. Gay and happy. Sometimes I see my gay friends being just as mean to straight people and people of different ethnic origins as they can be to us. I don't think that this will build bridges between gays and the straight community. And even worse, I think it makes our situation harder. What do you think?

For example, there are at least 1,049 protections, benefits & responsibilities extended to married couples under federal law, according to a 1997 study by the General Accounting Office. Gay & lesbian couples in lifelong relationships pay higher taxes & are denied basic protections under the law. They receive no Social Security survivor benefits upon the death of a partner, despite paying payroll taxes. They must pay federal income taxes on their employer’s contributions toward their domestic partner’s health insurance, while married employees do not have to pay such taxes for their spouses. They must pay all estate taxes when a partner dies. They often pay significant tax penalties when they inherit a 401(k) from their partner. They are denied family leave under the Family & Medical Leave Act.

If you oppose marriage for Same-Gender Couples, what rights are you wishing to withhold from them, & which rights are you more willing to allow them to exercise?

Do you think there are specific songs aimed towards gays that they like more? People say "It's raining men" is a gay national anthem, almost.

But, what is your favorite "gay" song?
something that doesn't necessarily have to be about gay people, just one that appeals to them.

Mine is either "Island of Shame" by Lagwagon, or "Right to Choose" by antiflag. [both are actually about gay people, not just a homosexual interest or anything]

If you had an incredible job opportunity to move forward but then you found out the person who is to be your boss is totally homophobic, would you still go through with an interview hoping that your skills would over ride your sexuality and that would be taken into account more, or would you not put yourself in the positon to be hired then perhaps fired (unfair dismissal). I personally think if you are totally comfortable with your sexuality you can ride most situations through, what do you think?

I find by just reading some of these questions you can sure tell who the youngsters are. Some times some of the questions aren't that appropriate for the younger people, not that I think any question is a stupid question, but I think some of the adult questions don't need to seen by kids. Do you think there should be a different area for people 16 and under?

Everyone talks about gay or straight, but what about bisexuals? No one ever talks about them or how many of them make up the total population..

I just admitted to myself that i'm lesbien. (after a few years of denil) and i think i should tell my mom but....I'm afraid of how she'll react. i mean she says oh I won't get mad or I'll understand but i know from experience that about half the time that isn't true....

another problem is how do you bring something like that up? I mean i can't just walk into the room and say "Oh ya mom by the way i'm lesbien" thats just like not possible.

Please people, don't make any rude or stupid comments, i need serious advice.

Why do I feel as if Al Sharpton is running this place? Comments are put on about Gays and Lesbians ALL THE TIME talking about how we are going to hell and belittling us. They post how Jesus said it was a sin (which Jesus never said that himself in the Bible), but let a gay person put something in rebuttal to a black person about slavery in the bible be justified and that person gets deleted. It's okay to gay bash with the Bible but not say what Jesus actually said in the bible? WHY?

I am hearing the word "nappy" a lot lately. I have never heard it before and have no idea what it means. All I know that some people got very upset that it was said and that it has a racist meaning to it.
Can someone please explain what it means and why it's offensive?
