I'm not concerned with whether or not homosexuality is moral. As long as the two people involved are consensual, then it's nobody's business to stop them.

However, if homosexuals try to start a family, is it really a family? Obviously, they can't breed with each other so they have to adopt or have a baby with someone outside their relationship. This creates a problem because there is a vacuum for the two natural roles of a family, mother and father. There will either be two mothers or two fathers.

How does this situation effect the raising of a child? Do children necessarily require a mother and a father to be present in their lives growing up? Single parents are raising children all the time but how does having two parents with the same role and gender effect the psychology of the child?

I'm not arguing for or against the issue. I just would like to get people's opinions on this with maybe some scientific evidence to back it up.

Why do people want the world to accept homosexuality as normal? It's not normal, it goes against nature. To me it is an indulgence of desires not unlike anything gluttony or drugs. I have nothing against people that live the lifestyle I just don't think they should try to get the rest of the world (the 98% rest) to accept homosexuality as if it were as natural as making ones bed in the morning. FACTS: It is an anomaly (less than 2 out of every 100), AIDS affects the gay community worse than any other, people testify to being straight and becoming gay, being born gay, and going from gay to straight. Tell me what you think.

I HAVE to ask. Where did man get the idea that homosexual relations are sinful? Don't tell me the Bible, cause man wrote that. If god said to write it there, why hasn't god said anything to me directly about it? So really, where did this idea come from?

While I'm at it, why is masturbation a sin? If I wasn't supposed to play with it, wouldn't he have made my arms shorter?

I'm gonna keep going, I've got a few Qs
Why am I circumcised? If that piece wasn't supposed to be there, why'd he put it there?

Non procreative sex is a sin? How? Why don't I taste terrible then? Why would it feel good? Would make more sense if it hurt like crazy, or itched, or something.

I'm not trying to be offensive. I'm just a Pagan trying to understand where all this came from.
I personally don't think homosexualism (is that a word?) is a sin. I just follow "An it Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

If the church have problems accepting homosexuality and lesbianism, what do gays declare their religion as?

I posted this question in another forum, but am interested in the "practitioner's" point of view. What do you consider your religion as?

Especially younger people. Would you feel comfortable talking about any sex questions with your doctor? What have they done to make you feel safe or unsafe to talk with them about this?

I am a female college student who has always been into guys, but for about a year now I've been realizing that I find women attractive. I often have fantacies about being with a women (not just in a sexual way) and more recently I have actually developed feelings for a spacific girl. She's a friend of mine and I would never have a chance with her because she's straight but I can't stop thinking about her. I'm confused because I'm still attracted to guys as well. I haven't had a boyfriend in about a year and a half so part of me thinks that maybe I'm just going through a phase, rationalizing that if I can't seem to find a guy to be with then I should find a girl, but then the other part of me thinks that maybe my feelings are real and that I'm into women. I don't really know what I should do to get ride of this confusion. If there is anyone who has been through something similar or knows anything about this stuff could help me figure out what I should do I would really appreciate it!

Do you think homosexuality is culturaly unacceptable because of the way we teach our young kids about it? When my daughter was 5 she saw two men holding hands & asked why? I simply said daddys blonde & mommy likes blondes, your Godfather has brown hair & that what your aunt likes. Some men like men & some women like women. She asked who she should like & I said anyone you want. She's 15 now & finds nothing wrong with being gay. Do you think that kids hate because of the way their parents explain it to them?

Has any guys gone to adult bookstores and engaged in casual sex with other guys? I do this frequently and find it very exciting. Im basically straight, but really get turned on by doing this. I know it's dangerous from a disease standpoint and I try to minimize disease transmission possibilities. Do you think this is sick, fun, stupid, what.

I have a theory that all women's clothing is designed to catch the sexual eye. It is part of the power of women over men even if not all of them know it. I am often angry with myself for falling for a glimpse of slip, bra or panties.

Hey... I've just been browsing the general board and through clicking around, I somehow got into this category. I've been reading some of the hatred and ignorancd being spewed forth within it, and it makes me want to scream. My best friend in school was a gay man, and when he came out, he went through pure hell, especially from his homophobic and backwards family. They tried for years to tell him he was "sick," and that he should "just suck it up and be with a girl." It was the saddest thing I've ever seen. I just want to say I'm sorry. I'm sorry we can't all respect one another and get along. I'm sorry we are so insecure and hateful to one another. I'm sorry we can't stop jujging one another based on how we look, who we are, or who we love. I hope that someday we'll learn to be good and kind and lift each other up instead of bash each other for what we don't understand.
