I'm gay but have seen a lot of straight porn and I always thought this phenomenon was strange too.
It might have something to do with the fact that straight men think women are sexier with their shoes on, specifically uh umm, stiletto heeled shoes.

well most women love their legs and the shoes give the legs a boost in the sexiness. women's legs turn men on, especially when they are long and slender and the shoes make us women feel a little taller with the slender legs.
