I HAVE to ask. Where did man get the idea that homosexual relations are sinful? Don't tell me the Bible, cause man wrote that. If god said to write it there, why hasn't god said anything to me directly about it? So really, where did this idea come from?

While I'm at it, why is masturbation a sin? If I wasn't supposed to play with it, wouldn't he have made my arms shorter?

I'm gonna keep going, I've got a few Qs
Why am I circumcised? If that piece wasn't supposed to be there, why'd he put it there?

Non procreative sex is a sin? How? Why don't I taste terrible then? Why would it feel good? Would make more sense if it hurt like crazy, or itched, or something.

I'm not trying to be offensive. I'm just a Pagan trying to understand where all this came from.
I personally don't think homosexualism (is that a word?) is a sin. I just follow "An it Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

It has to do with religion I think. If you go to places on the planet where Christianity isn't so big of an influence you'll see their attitudes are slightly different.

It's like the Japanese, they used to be more sexually free, they didn't have Westernized morals, then they were introduced to them and started to change. Now they're changing back and it seems shocking because of the sexual freedom of the youth, but some argue they're just going back to the old Japanese norm.

So it has to do with culture more than anything, and culture has been influenced by church for a while.

The problem that churches had to deal with was likely "heterosexual" men in relationships cheating on their wives with men. They likely tried to stop this as it went against marriage commandments.

Nowadays the issue is GLBT love and relationships, not just sex.

Oh, and there was that whole HIV epidemic in the 70s and 80s that hit the GLBT community hard, this is partly suppression because of fear of the disease. Old habits die hard in people.

Sex(fornicating) period is a sin, unless your married and its happening between the two of you only. Homosexuality has never been right. Being that Ive never came across it in the bible where it is saying it is ok. Marriage in the begining and throughout the bible has always been between a man and a woman under god. When you get married you make a vow with that person and god. Gen 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife, and they shall be one flesh. When you get married you become one under god, whether you think so or not, that is why a priest is involved in the traditional marriage. But anyway i do believe its the act of sex with the same sex that is the sin... so therfore if you marry the same sex your going to have sex which then some would probably say that its contradicting because your married well... you're not suppose to get married to the same sex anyway. But all will be judged, and its not my place to point fingers or blame.

Christians live from the bible,in bible God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of man with man, woman with woman sin, because he made woman for man and vices that is why for Christians is a sin lesbianism and homosexuals. And yes a human wrote the bible a human used by God so every important moment of the God/human history would be written.

Could be that man just sees what the animals are doing and what they are doing and when man sees a gay person, they think that something must be wrong with them.

That thing about masturbation came much later. Maybe something to do with women being a possesion of men or that sex was for procreation only. It's yours and not someone else to judge what you do with it.

Circumcision is all about fear of germs,I think. Later on, it became a sign of how far you're willing to go to please God and show your solidarity. Besides, no one wanted to be cast out from their support system for disobeying a divine commandment.

gods wish for us was to be fruitfull and multiply , thru your decendents you live forever . so homosexual relations do not produce offspring and masturbation is spilling your seed upon the ground wasting it . circumsicon is mainly a hygenic issue the answer to an harm none one can argue that in a homsexual relation ship your not appling your seed to a fertile enviroment so logic tells you or should tell you that you denied your offspring life . so the reality is that you did in all actuality harm someone .

The best way for to understand is not only to watch from far the belivers. Go with them and try to experience God in your life and ask him yourself. Is better to know directly from God. What is better, to explain about apple to you, or you yourself to try the apple and to know yourself about the apple?
I don't know if you understood what I would want to tell you. As well, I'm not trying to be offensive. Thank you for this good question. God bless, don't forgot, God loves you too much!

It clearly states in the bible that a man should not lay with another man and it also states that if the blind lead the blind then they both fall in the ditch.Maybe that is where it came from
