Most definitely NOT! Honestly, most are very normal men who put certain normal aspects of their lives on hold, almost as a personal sacrifice for some.
Are there any homosexual priests? Definitely.
Are all of the homosexual priests practicing homosexuals? Definitely NOT. They too have asked God's forgiveness of ALL their failings and then the same personal sacrifice of the heterosexual priests applies to them as well.
So for "are most priests gay?" Can you say "stereotype" or "prejudice"?

Most priests are sexually confused and some are pedophiles which is to say they are NOT gay. Some are gay and some are heterosexual and have girl friends. They are just like the rest of our confused society.

My guess is no, you just hear a lot about ones that are.
Mind you though, some are pedophiles, which is not to be confused with homosexuality, as it is more gender neutral, and is an attraction to youth more than it is an attraction to gender.
Pedophiles becoming priests doesn't seem surprising, as they would likely wish to be rid of their desires through God's help. However they then find they're still mortal, and are now in charge of people, including children, and that's not conducive to changing your ways.

There were several priests that were gay and molested a lot of young boys or future priests but most of them have now been taken out of circulation. Most of the ones that got caught were known by the clergy officials to be molesting but instead of kicking them out or turning them over to the police, would just send them to another parish where they did the same thing over and over. I think that most of the priests are dedicated and pure but the ones that are not give all of them a black name....

I can't say most priests, but it does seem that we do in fact
have a problem with some priests and their sick habits.

Most priests are not gay, the media has blown up the whole gay priests molesting boys thing, for every bad priest molesting boys there are 10,000 dedicated men of God serving the community.

I would imagine if the population is 12% gay then probably a percentage commensurate with a random pool would identify themselves as gay, among priests. If they are honoring their vows of celibacy then they would not be sexually active however.

I don't believe so. However, the Catholic religion teaches that acting on homosexual feelings is a major sin. Therefore, as a devout gay Catholic, the church would tell you that you are never allowed to have sex. If a gay man is still in the closet and is hiding his sexual orientation really well, it might raise suspicions if he is never in a romantic relationship. If he joins the priesthood, though, it would be normal. So for gay men who are trying their hardest not to act on their feelings and who don't want others to know they are gay, I can see how entering the priesthood would seem like a reasonable life.

Some. They are most likely closeted and they got guilt in their heart. That may be why they turned to god for comfort.
