I was born and raised Catholic. I am gay and known since I was 7 yrs. old and I am 45 now. I went to Catholic schools and church faithfully as a child. I have never made my first Communion. Mom pulled me out of Catholic school before I could. So,Whatever religion u choose to honor. U do not need to go to a church, out reach, or whatever the religion requires. God Almighty is one. Therefore, we all pray to the same Almighty God, Ala, Buddist...bla..bla..bla..I don't go to church, but believe strongly in the Almighty one. He is with me every day. Remember god is in u. God made us...our Souls. We are just off springs of the Almighty. If you know anything about god, he did not intend us to worship objects, nor did he gather in churches. He was all about nature and goodness from all.
"Remember the Ten Commandments" Jesus is the Almighty's First Disciple.
If u follow the good path in life, life is good, if u stray from that path, judgment day awaits. Whether now or a day, week, month, years...it will always get you. God Almighty will be good to u, if u just follow his good path. He does give u two to choose from....YOUR CHOICE! Well hope this helped.

It doesnt work that way. Gays are normal people with all the same religions as everyone else. They can be any denomination of Christianity and etc. Christianity does not turn away gays or lesbians. No religion does. Even if your interpretation of Christianity says that gay is wrong, that doesn't mean that they cannot be part of your type of Christianity. My understanding is that sin is forgiveable and that no sin is worse than any other. Therefore gays dont need a different type of religion because as long as they believe the main beliefs they can be any religion. To ask what religion they consider themselves to be is ridiculous because they arent all the same religion just as straight people aren't. There is absolutely no difference between gays and straights exxcept for sexual orientation. Just for the record, I personally do not believe that Chrstianity condemns homosexuality at all. People often misinterpret the bible and it leads them to incorrect conclusions.

Like many Americans, a lot of gay people will not claim any religion at all. And many will just report the faith they were raised in, but do not practice today.
But nearly all of the major religions have a liberal component that accepts homosexuality. Among Christian denominations that do are MCC, UCC, and many Methodists, Episcopalian and Presbyterian Churches. I am sure there are many others.
From personal experience gay Christians consider themselves to be Christians. No church gets to say otherwise.

I am Jewish Renewal, a form of Judiasm that accepts gays and lesbians. Wether or not the "church" has a problem accepting gays and lesbians is not the issue here, God is all that matters. People who act like that are not doing as God would have them do. I also know many christians, my wife being one, that could care less what the people of the church think, they worship just as a heterosexual would.

Hello. When you say "the church" you are being just a teeney bit arrogant, sorry to point that out.
My mother was Jewish, my father was a Baha'i convert, formally Christian. I consider myself a student of humanity. It has been my experience that in some small way everyone has some opinion of the divine. Either they reconcile themselves to there is nothing they can do about it or they can't prove anything one way or the other, or they are so swept up in their faith they can't see the other possibilities to the same end out there. It is all the same, just a different path to the same end.

Uhm you need to realize that we're varied, we're not a specific race or religion. We're individuals, from differing backgrounds and cultures.
I for example am atheist, but I know of gay people who are Christian, Buddhist, Jewish and so forth.
My atheism has little to do with my sexuality, it has more to do with my education. I used to be Catholic, if my education was different I likely would still be, regardless of my orientation.
The church also looks down on premarital sex, cheating, and divorce, but they still accept people who do all 3. They accept people, it's only jaded individuals that try to use the bible or other religious texts against minorities. If they didn't bash gays they'd bash blacks or women using that same book, anything to feel better.

The answers you will get will match the number of religions. Homosexuals practice the religions that they believe in, their sexual orientation does not decide their religious beliefs.
Of my homosexual friends, their religions include Christianity, Wiccan, Judaism, Buddhist, and Atheist. I think you will find that beliefs run the full gambit.

Just because some Church's reject them doesn't mean that someone who is a homosexual has to change their beliefs of religion. That also doesn't mean God doesn't accept them. Everyone has a right to their own religion, straight gay or bi. Religion and the belief system doesn't have boundaries, people make boundaries.
I'm a bisexual and I have my own belief system regardless of disapproval, Have a great day.

I am a Christian....plain and simple. I follow the teachings of Christ. However....I am a lesbian. This does not mean that I agree with ALL that the church teaches. I know what I believe and I know where I'm going. If God is truely disappointed in me for loving a woman then I am prepared to stand in Judgement before Him and accept what comes. I do not believe that I am going to hell for it, though.

Gays are individuals.
I personally am a Christian.
The bible has the truth in it. It also has lies and misinterpretations in it.
Christian law can be put into two sentences (read the gospels if you don't believe me): Love God. Love your neighbor as yourself.
The church is comprised of people. People are sometimes wrong about things, and they are wrong about homosexuality. Homosexualkity is only sinful outside a committed, healthy, mutually monagamous relationship.
This is one of the lies in the bible (look it up if you don't believe me):
If a woman is raped but doesn't cry out loudly, she should be killed.
