God has a huge penis... so when he fucks them over all the time they just are in too much pain to laugh...

I've known some to have a sense of humor. But I've also known far too many who are consumed with their religion to the extent of not actually living a life of their own, constantly reading their Bibles and struggling to make sense of it, fretting over other peoples' salvation, etc.
I think it's a double tragedy that a young man I know is sure his precious little brother is in Hell right now because he took his own life, even though he knows the emotional pain his brother endured that drove him to that terrible act. Where is the comfort and redemption in a belief like that? That's rigid fundamentalism run amok and not the God I know.

Not that I have ever noticed. They all seem to be angry and uptight. The heaven they go to must be a real hell.
