Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender - August 2006

Okay, if 10% of the population is gay then why do people keep on nagging us? If so many people are gay then do they really think they can keep marraige limited to a man and a woman? I just don't get how people can be so rude to 10% of the population? Not all people are rude and homophobe- I know.

(if I have the wrong %, oops. I first heard this on Law&Order, SVU)

There is a guy who i work with who i have slept with last yr. Hes 6 yrs older than me and not out at all, not to his parents or anything. NOw a couple of weeks ago we said we would give it a go but the same night he got drunk and kept sayin he loved me and wants to be with me. Now im new to the whole relationship thing(am 21) and dont know what to do.

How can you know if someone cares/loves you?

I met him when I was 14 years old, four years ago, he was 19 years old. From the way he acts around me and the nicknames he has given me, it suggest he does like me more than a friend.

He also seems to get a little jealous around any boyfriend I get. They end up leaving thinking I am cheating on them! Saying that the way he acts suggests there is something going on between us two!

But then if he did really care about me he would just come out and say it, would he not? Plus he has had some boyfriends too, why would he if he cared about me? But then the way he treats me when he is in a relationship... It just confuses me! I also think I might be in love with him......

My best friend (also person I love more than life itself), who is three years older than me (I am 18) admitted he was gay, I acted like an evil homophoic hypocritical idiot... Alright, I am 17 years old right now, when I was a few months old my father run off, when I was 4 and my mother died I went to live with my father's sister and her husband.

They raised me as their own since they had (and still don't have) any kids of their own. Last night I heard my father wants to come back in my life. Thing is he wants me to "turn straight", or he will not accept me!

Can I change his mind so he will accept me back no matter what?

More impotantly, do I even need him? I feel like I should try to do what he says, even though it's impossible, since he is my father.

Though I wonder how much should I change or hide about myself, for someone I do not even know... What would you do if you were in my place?

My first kiss was on my fourteenth birthday three and a half years ago, with a friend that was the same gender as me.

I have never felt any attraction towards the opposite gender though, but have towards my own gender since I was thirteen, so I am not really sure how I can be straight...
