They usually don't......unless there was some kind of commitment first, like marriage or engagement, otherwise I'll say 90+% don't last....

well... u can still feel in a long distant relationship some of the love u have for each other , but u should ask him what he thinks about not having sex for God knows how many months before u get to c each other again ! ... if he wants this kind of relationship to last for as long as possible , u both should be open minded about the idea that u can both have sex with whom ever, but only love each other, and when u r at the same country/town, then that would be the only time in which you'll save your selves for each other ! ... other than this solution, u will have to leave each other , but stay as friends , in case one day , one of u moved to the town of the other ! and then , u can continue what u have started already ! :) have a nice life !

Relationships dealing with distance is hard to get around. You get tiresome, lonely and eventually look else where. If there in a true loving commitment like an engagement it might work, otherwise both will wander else where due to no companionship, attention, affection, and amor.

i agree. long-distance works at the beginning because of sex and excitement, but not in the the long run. you end up having very little time to get know each other. and then you get lonely and jealous when you are apart. so best to stick to people that are local.

You can make it work if you both are committed to it and want to make it work. Don't give up so easy. One of you can always visit the other when you have the time

Been there , done that. It's not imposible but very difficult. You need to be sure it's the real deal before you commit to this.

I think you're wrong, because long distance relationships can work if people work hard enough at it.
