I heard a rumor going around that PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) actually put animals to sleep?

I heard this from a friend and I'm a vegetarian myself, and when I heard this, I admit - I was pretty shocked.

Can you confirm the rumors?

A lot of straight women are hatin' towards me and I don't know why. They treat me like a disease. Why such a hostile approach?

IYou may no longer own it, or maybe you have it and its too dilapidated to be valueable.
My mom and I moved to farm after her divorce from my dad, and this old house had one of those old baby carriages, and very old typewriter and a phonograph record player. Wish I had those today (even then, around 1982 they would have been valuebale).

I hate getting a new cell phone, for instance.

Hubby bought me a new wide screen flat monitor for my computer and I don't want to tell him that I HATE THE THING!

I am used to my old one, damnit.

My kids laught at me because my video camera is the size of a recipe box. They bought me a small one and I never could figure out how to use the damned thing.

They bought me a CD player for my car and I don't like that either, the CD's keep getting scratched and don't work. Cassettes didn't have that problem.

I just don't get it... somethings are getting larger and larger, like TV screens and some things are getting smaller and smaller, like cell phones. Why on earth would anyone want to test message constantly using only 8 tiny keys?

This was probably the best Christmas I've ever had. I had all three of my kids, along with my grand children, mom, sisters, brother, cousins, and friends were at the Christmas party on Sunday. We had a blast.
Christmas morning there was an abudance under the tree, many, many gifts from my sis-in-law who has a terminal illness. She said she thought it would be her last Christmas so she went a little crazy. I kept opening gifts from her and I was so touched because I know they came from her heart. I was able to hold it together until I opened a gift from my son, which was a beautiful family portrait on one side and a picture of my gorgeous grand daughter on the other. I lost it and started crying like a baby. I'm getting way too emotional in my old age. Anyone else have a happy/sad Christmas? And yes, I know I'm very, very blessed.

I notice that whenever I try to ask a serious question in a foreign Y!A section, all I seem to get are angry responses from my fellow Americans:

It's really frustrating because I know that other English-speaking countries are more polite and have more of a sense of decorum about these things...

I am curious why so many men don't shop and if it's really due to the fact of wanting to be manly and let the women do it. And when you shop, why do you shop so basic, white t.shirt and khakis? Why not express yourself through your clothing?

Did you hear about the fellow that was talking to his buddy, and he said, "I don't know what to get my wife for her birthday. She has everything, and besides, she can afford to buy anything she wants, so I'm stumped." His buddy said, "I have an idea. Why don't you make up a certificate that says she can have two hours of great sex, any way she wants it. She'll probably be thrilled!" So the first fella did just that. The next day his buddy asked, "Well, did you take my suggestion? How'd it turn out?" "She loved it. She jumped up, thanked me, kissed me on the mouth, and ran out the door yelling -- I'll see you in two hours!"
