I heard a rumor going around that PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) actually put animals to sleep?

I heard this from a friend and I'm a vegetarian myself, and when I heard this, I admit - I was pretty shocked.

Can you confirm the rumors?

You have to understand that PETA has busted and had many people put in jail many times over and has become hated by many people that make money off of animals. There are many FAKE websites on the internet that speak bad about PETA trying to get even for being busted for cruelty and having business's closed down and exposed to the public. Young people are vulnerable to this because they haven't lived long enough to know the true facts.

No...PETA doesn't kill, they save animals and expose the people that do this.

Don't believe everything you read on the internet, there are a lot of frauds out there. I keep tabs on PETA and contribute funds to them. I would know better than any one about what is going on with them.

And according to the filing from PETA, they have to file the reports, PETA has killed at it’s Norfolk Virginia over 14,400 animals. That’s from July 1998 to Dec 2005. PETA killed over 90% of the animals it took in, in 2005.

From the PETA website

“PETA believes that euthanasia is kinder than warehousing a dog or cat in an animal shelter for years on end until he or she goes mad from a lifetime of confinement to a cage and eventually dies”

Here’s a few quotes for you to think about

"I'd go to work early, before anyone got there, and I would just kill the animals myself...I must have killed a thousand of them, sometimes dozens every day." Ingrid Newkirk

"[M]ost of the animals we receive are broken beings for whom euthanasia is, without a doubt, the most humane option." Ingrid Newkirk

"It is a totally rotten business, but sometimes the only kind option for some animals is to put them to sleep forever," Ingrid Newkirk

"‘PETA believes euthanasia is the kindest gift to a dog or cat unwanted and unloved.’ Ingrid Newkirk

"We do not advocate 'right to life" for animals" Ingrid Newkirk

Think about that next time you go to send money to PETA.

Yes, there have been several articles confirming that PETA has been taking animals on the promise that they will adopt them out and then euthanizing them in the pick up van and dumping the carcasses in dumpsters. They have been charged on various occasions with everything from breach of contract ( telling people their beloved pet will be adopted and then killing it ) to health violations ( dumping animal carcasses. ) PETA maintains that they are doing the right thing because " no animal should be subjected to slavery to humans" and that death is preferable to being a pet.

PETA KILLS MORE ANIMALS THEN ANYONE ELSE OR GROUP IN THE WORLD. do some research online about them. Last year alone they were responsable first hand for over 10,000 animals deaths!!! Tey burn down buildings were animals have experiments done on them but dont free the animals before burning it down and thats only one exmple of how they do it. PETA is more of a colt then anything else. Not to mention that many of there members sleep with animals and also support interspecies marriage thats right interspecies THAY ARE ALL NUTS!!

Dont you believe for one minute that its NOT TRUE....it IS true, not only do they euthanize healthy, young adoptable animals BY THE THOUSANDS, they do it under false pretenses too - promicing the people they take them from (even shelters!) to provide them good homes. They are IMMEDIATELY euthanized in the PETA van after they are picked-up. Check out PETAKILLSANIMALS.COM
Every word is true! Dont you know they are against pet-ownership and believe animals are better off DEAD than being owned? PETA Founder Ingrid Whatshername said it so herself in public forums.

i do not know why this is in LGBT but-- i wouldn't doubt it. PETA is too extreme. i fully believe in animal rights and i support the vegetarians out there, but i wouldn't put my faith into PETA.

i once heard they blew up a building with people AND animals in it because the people were mistreating the animals. but didn't they defeat their purpose? they were the ones who killed the animals.

i'm not too sure if that rumour is true-- but i do know that it is uncertain that PETA is a righteous organization. put your faith in something other than PETA. i doubt anyone can truly ''confirm the rumours''. you can never tell who's lying.

peace.
