We just formed an NGO tagged RELEIF HOME . The primary aim of the releif home is to cater, shelter, feed, clothe and educate these highly displaced persons as a result of the ten year war we had in Sierra Leone. We have exhausted all the finances we have on our own like our personal money. We are intrested in seeking for funds and material from International foundations who share our aspirations and vision for a better society for these homeless children.

I have heard people say "I lost my first house to a flood, now It's happened again, or this is the second time a hurricane hit".

Since they are given federal aid, shouldn't the county planning commissions refuse building permits.

Example: Tornado Alley, Florida beach fronts, homes near creeks and rivers known to rise in rainstorms.

All the taxpayers keep rebuilding the homes of people that refuse to move.

would rather give them to a library, school or charity ... any thoughts (other than just to a charity shop - which is my plan B)

I am hoping that there is someone that lives in the East Bay Area willing to give me the inside scoop on when their annual and/or semi annual curb side pick up is. It is also known as "put out". I understand the reluctancy if there is any. Many people and make a bunch of noise while going thru peoples put out piles, these same people usually leave a mess and for what ever reason wait until the middle of the night to boot. I find that kind of behavior to be appauling. I assure you this is not my intentions. I'm looking for things to help my sister get back on her feet after a series of bad events. Someone told me about put outs a few years ago, so I thought it might be a resource for helping my sis. Thank you for taking the time to read my question. Take are.

Sexual crimes of any kind, murder, dismemberment, etc. against anyone Including small children and the elderly. If you think about it Capital Punishment isn't really punishment as such - Torture on the other hand IS corporal, psychological and emotional punishment. That would cover just about everyone who is affected by serious vicious crime I think. You know, the "victims." Why bother rehabilitating repeat offenders? There are so many different ways to torture someone. If "killing" a person for murder is barbaric why don't we just take it all the way and let them live a life tortured the rest of their days for the crimes they have committed. Captial Punishment is just too easy. That's all?

My child is involved in sports and has been for several years. We have been the parents who were always there, always did everything, always volunteered for the fundraisers, etc. Well this year things are different. We are tired and being involved just isn't as fun. We have slacked off somewhat, and some of the other parents are downright ugly to us. Why? Isn't it okay to back off from volunteering? We aren't leaving them 'high and dry'. Other parents have stepped up to take our place so I do not understand the hostility.

a guy from my class emailed me saying his family is doing the ms walk this weekend and I didnt realize what he was asking for was donations so I signed up coz I had been meaning to anyway but accidently somehow wound up on his team which is family only(and Im not). How do I still participate without being affiliated with them? It's kind of embarrassing and they might get offended but it was a total mistake. I still want to participate, but I certainly dont want to assume theyd ok me being on their family team...I only know them thru class(which doesnt meet anyday before the walk either). How do I, for 1. find out if my accident is ok w/ them, & 2. if it's not, then disaffiliate in time?

Candy sales are banned from CA schools next year, so we need to find new ways to fundraise. are there any other ideas besides candy sales, car washes, silent auctions, bake sales, battle of the bands etc. i'm open to any ideas, but the simpler the better. (optional-----this is for a club, so are there any ideas that can involve a lot of people and also easy to organize on a school campus?)

I would love to give to charity, but uncle sam takes half of what I make in taxes. I am living in near poverty, and the liberals are telling me I need to give more to charity???? I thought that's what they wanted to use the government for, free welfare handouts, oh wait, that's for the liberal elite only. Maybe when the government's money is stopped being spent either on the rich or on single moms living immoral lifestyles, we can focus on how to give the money back to those who really did earn it rather than people leeching off society, and maybe then I could give some charity.

Hi,
I'm going to do a fundraiser to help some kids in an orphanage in Wisconsin. I was wondering when I get the sites up can people please ship me some things so I can ship it to them and I would highly appreciate that or ship it to them by yourselves just email me and tell me what you sent so I can get it checked off the list of things they send. I'm going to check my email now to tell you if they sent it or not. Also when I send something every day I will update the list so I can let you know what there is still out there to give them. Also anything educational for them would be great too. Thanks!!!! P.S. This seems fun helping them so I might start a little business where I send things to those who need them. That seems like fun. Just thinking though will get back to you on that.

OK, here's the scoop: My friend is physically disabled due to a work-related injury when she worked as a CNA, and her health is not very good at all. She is borderline diabetic and she was on the verge of having a stroke and a heart attack the day before Easter. Essentially she is very stressed about her and her family at the poverty level and about not providing an Easter for her family. Her husband left her for a younger woman, and he admitted in being with her because of her money. He is living better without any regards to his wife and young children's plight. They are still married, however. My friend cannot afford to pay all her bills and she and her family tend to go hungry a lot. I try to help financially but I am really to the breaking point because of other obligations I must attend to. They reside in rural North Central Florida, and I don't know what else to include so I can get more responses to my question. I am also looking for ways to self-help. Please help TY
